Still doesn't change the fact that the gas already sitting in the tanks at the local station was from a different barrel cost and not the price of today's barrel.

I know I know doesn't matter because they can charge whatever they want no matter what their cost was....

BTW the historical quotes 3 weeks ago (which is near the range of when the oil was actually bought) was in the $99 dollar per barrel range.

I spent $3.95 a gallon yesterday for B10 biodiesel in western Mass. At the very least, it's nice to know that three of the gallons of fuel I bought were "local".

Dane can buy gas for $3.39 per gallon in Toledo.

I downloaded an app for my Blackberry called Poynt. Among other things, it tells where gas is cheapest in your hometown, http://poynt.com/.

Despite the higher prices, we still aren't driving less.

This is true, nor are people slowing down to the speed limit. I constantly see people driving at least 10 mph over the speed limit.

I see what you are saying and again I go back to the fact that the price went up the minute the missiles started flying...which had nothing to do with the price of the barrel 3 weeks ago....

I just paid 3.35 a gallon in Columbus and am happy I got gas today. The manager of the Speedway told me that he expected to have his gas priced between 3.59-3.79 a gallon within 48 hours. Its pathetic at how fast gas prices rise when they dont drop equally as fast!

Well hopefully this tank will last me through the end of the week...Prices will never come down as fast as they went up.
