eh....saw that one coming...just wait until it hops up next week too...we still have at least 3 weeks of $100+ per barrel oil to work through the system....

It had gone down day after day here, until this...too me it is all bullshit...the price they paid for what is in the tanks didn't change the minute shit broke out...

$2.08 a gal? hell you won't see that ever again let alone for a couple years.

If the Middle East ever cools down, if we stop diluting the value of the dollar and if we don't get a shitload of Hurricanes along the Gulf Coast, we could get there again...

I know fat chance....

the price of the gas in the tanks isn't set by the local guys anyway....

Still doesn't change the fact that the gas already sitting in the tanks at the local station was from a different barrel cost and not the price of today's barrel.

I know I know doesn't matter because they can charge whatever they want no matter what their cost was....

That's what they said in mid-08 (after a year climb from $2.66 to above $4) only to see gas freefall below $2 six months later.

I don't see a turnaround that quickly, but it certainly isn't impossible.

The price of what is in the tanks doesn't matter. What matters is the price of the incoming load and what is available on the market due to demand.

Despite the higher prices, we still aren't driving less.
