Alabama Crimson Tide (official thread of Football, Fake Championships and Banjo)

I'd laugh if it wasn't obvious this will still end up totally working out because 'Bama.
This is interesting. As it seems like Bama is the place to rebuild reputations at this point for guys considered to be very good on the offensive side of the ball but not good at running an entire program. Its a hell of a gamble that keeps working, but if it fails, it will be an amazing fail

Went to a Bama board, and I was impressed. We're getting a hell of a lot of respect. The complete opposite from rock rubbing aggy.

I heard somewhere that they're viewing this as a revenge game - and I do not doubt that to be true. Here's the thing though - how many players on the team today were on the team when we beat them in the Sugar Bowl? The fans might remember that game and want revenge, but the players have never played tOSU before. It is not the same set up as tOSU-Clemson game was.

True. I guess it comes down to whether Saban can instill that need for revenge into players who weren't around the last time. Given that it's Saban, I wouldn't rule it out.

Oh, I think they'll be ready to go. Its the Natty after all. It's been since the 2018 game; 3 seasons since Bammer's won it. Not many of the players on today's team were instrumental in that team's title, so they'll be hungry. I'm just not sure revenge will be their primary motivator.

Here is a thread for Bama health rumors to keep organized. This will only include players who have been mentioned to have health problems.

  • C Landon Dickerson is OUT-replaced by Chris Owens who was terrible against ND
  • WR Jaylen Waddle-elite slot receiver, fans are convinced he is healthier than ever before, most of the media thinks it’s a smoke screen. Was non contact all week
  • Nickel CB Malachi Moore is “very questionable” per Saban. He’s really good and has a true freshman backing him up(he himself is a true freshman)
  • WR John Metchie is rumored to have been seen in a boot. He is their #2 receiver and would be a massive loss. Their receiver depth is poor as they already start Slade Bolden.
  • DE LaBryan Ray is probable per Saban, has missed time this year for injury.

Just saw this on 11W. If this really is the list of guys not able to play or will be severly limited, then that would be a big blow to the team. That would be 5 starters, and massive hit to their WRs
