Alabama football finalizing deal with Bill O'Brien to be Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator, sources say

Alabama is finalizing a deal with former Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien to be the Crimson Tide's next offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN.

O'Brien was in the Alabama football complex Wednesday. He also spent time around the team last week leading up to the College Football Playoff National Championship game.

Alabama has lost:
Sark OC to HC at Texas
Kyle Flood OL coach to be OL coach at Texas
Tight end coach/special teams Jeff Banks to the same position at Texas
Running backs coach Charles Huff to Marshall HC
And analysts Charlie Strong, Major Applewhite, Rob Ezell, and AJ Milwee
Thats a lot of turnover on the offensive staff. Losing those coaches and then add the players: Mac Jones, Najee, Devonta Smith, and 3 starting OL

And it won't mean a damn thing next season...

They’ll probably take a step back but a step back for Bama is still 12-13 wins and an SEC Championship. It just won’t look as easy as this year.

Not sure who's going to even beat them in 2021. 1st game of the season they play a Miami program who not only will probably not have D'Eriq King yet(or at least not at 100%), but they're known for folding when a team has a pulse. UF, and aTm will be tough but both are breaking in new QBs. Their loss would probably be in the SECCG, or in the CFP. WR will be their biggest question mark, trying to replace Smith and Waddle.
