Let me start by stating that I am far from a criminal mastermind.

I'm curious as to how anyone can be so dumb as to leave chewed up bubblegum at the scene of a murder that they committed? Or has he never heard of DNA evidence? How on Earth does a guy who is planning to commit an execution-style murder of a friend/acquaintance allow that person to text ANYONE to let them know who he was with during the last few minutes of his life? LLoyd may not have known where they were heading, or why they were heading there; but Hernandez did and let Lloyd text his sister..... And why would Lloyd feel it necessary to text his sister to let her know who he was with, if he wasn't fearing for his life? Who gets a rental car when he needs to kill someone - and uses his own name to rent it? And who would let his own home security system run while they carried the murder weapon through the house? Why wouldn't he have disabled it BEFORE they left? That, to me is the most convincing evidence they've made public. Well, Aaron, Mr. Lloyd was with you 5 minutes ago, now he isn't and you've got a gun..... Care to explain that?

Either this guy is really lousy at covering his tracks, or he is the victim of some really weird coincidences......(or he's gotten away with this sort of thing in the past, and felt like he would again....)

The explanation that requires the fewest assumptions and all that.

I see the question as being; Is he incredibly ignorant or incredibly apathetic? Either way, he is in the top 1% of all human beings on the planet I think.
