I don't know why he would other than to say "No Comment" (perhaps say something about the victim). Same goes with Bill Belichick, because anything either says will just become a headline (during a media downtime in the summer).

Also, I'd hope the Ohio State SID mentions to the media in the coming weeks that questions should be limited to Ohio State football when camp starts. He probably already did that.
