Just recalling from OSU fan reaction to a few years ago, a couple of instances come to mind:

1) Those two really ripping Herbstreit for dropping Ohio State his final poll after winning the Sugar Bowl (only winning team to drop in his Top 25). Herbstreit said he was "sleepy" as to why OSU dropped.

2) Those two really getting on Herbstreit for ripping the OSU fanbase when he moved to Tennessee. More/less they were playing to the home crowd (local market).

Herbstreit seems like someone with thin skin, so those are two situations I recall they ripped on Herbie. And I'm assuming word got back to Herbie. So if someone is looking to why Herbstreit might not like those two.

But really, the Blue Jackets tried to get people on the radio station fired multiple times, so it's an accumulation probably (along w/ WBNS being an ESPN affiliate).

I still don't understand why his daughter seeing it was a big deal. If you're old enough to be on Twitter and go seeking for negative tweets directed at your father - you should know that it wasn't a serious death threat by any means. Maybe the Howard's should worry about monitoring their daughters internet usage and blind stupidity of how the internet works. Maybe Herbstreit should just fucking go sit in a dark closet somewhere because who the fuck is he to stick his frosty tips in everyone else's business?

Apparently the first person in the Howard household to read the tweet was Desmond's young daughter, who wanted to know why somebody wished her daddy was dead. Desmond's wife had several direct tweets to Torg last weekend asking him if he had any children.

Just to be clear about the "young daughter" part, Desmond's daughter is in college... at scUM of course.

Response from the Torg.

I have been fired by 97.1 the fan. No severance, no health insurance with a newborn and a wife with A-Fib. I want to thank everyone for their support. I want you to know I reached out to the Howard family and they accept my apology. I am truly sorry for the tweet. It was a joke. Nothing more. I will write the same thing I tweeted that day. Sorry if I offended anyone. Please don?t send Desmond or his wife tweets.

I do have Counsel and unless something changes I will file suit. My Counsel feels we have a very strong case so I will not comment. On Herbie no comment. Sorry I can?t say a word on this one.
