We can only hope not.

I can't believe we have people opining as to the appropriateness of firing an incompetent fuckwit.

He's a got-dam moron. He's gone. Hoo-fucking-ray.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but for once, I think MaxBuck has a valid point that I can actually agree with!

Herbstreit probably called his lawyer a little worried; then his attorney started laughing. Unless Torg has a written contract that only permits 97.1 to terminate him "for cause," he's got nothing. And he has even less against Herbstreit.

... which isn't to say I wouldn't like to see Herbie shitting his pants at the prospect of having his dirty laundry aired. But there's no cause of action here.

This will sound odd, but I hope to hell Torg wins.

My first reaction to reading that they'd like to investigate Herbstreits role in this was to think, "How many bimbos are you gonna trip over in ANY investigation of the walking spray tan?" - so, yeah, I mean, investigate away, and remember TIIWWOP.

Yes, but it's usually at 3-4 times the cost of what they were paying to begin with.

It is ordinarily less expensive, though, than individual health coverage.

Unless he had a plan that was ridiculously inexpensive for the employee I don't see 3-4 times as a reasonable estimate. Please note that I am an employer and pay 100% of the health insurance cost for my employees so I'm well aware of the cost of health insurance.

Please note I was laid off, shown the terms and self insured myself for 1/2 the cost of COBRA (which was actually 7 times the amount I paid when I worked for that company)

+1000 to that. I don't feel sorry for adults that act dumb and say dumb things. It's about time it caught up with him. Time to use better judgement and realize broadcasting things like "I hope you die" about a nationally recognized person to thousands of people is infinitely stupid.
