Do you work for the station? No I'm not bragging and the exchange was hardly a war of words....spelling was bad

I listen to the show from time to time....its the only sports radio show in Columbus...They have better formats and have had better formats in that time slot....I was [censored]ed, sent and e mail and he responded...

I would like to see some competition in the market...I think its a valid discussion

. So I must work for the station simply because I pointed out the absurdity of you getting into an email argument with a radio host and then transcribing the whole thing on BP?

The whole "we're held hostage" argument when it comes to local sports talk is ridiculous, IMO. If you don't like it, save up a whopping $15/month and get satellite. Or turn the knob to some music that you'd enjoy. Despite what some evidently think around here, you're not entitled to someone providing you with free sports talk radio that you actually like.

Get over yourselves.

In bassbuckeye's defense, you don't really need to 'transcribe' an email argument. I think his post sheds some light on how much of a douchebag whatever-the-fuck his name is, that radio host.

I too am very surprised about the arrogance of D-Stanley. I used to really like that guy, now he's hard to listen to because he's constantly wrong and he will never admit it. Rothman constantly takes him to school but Stanley fabricates Rothman's words into something else or changes the subject/argument quickly.

As for CM & T, why in the hell does a local radio station that is the "flagship network" for all things Ohio State have a show with 2 guys that aren't affiliated with OSU or even Ohio at all?

CM is from Chicago and talks way too much about the Bears, Jay Cutler, White Sox, Adam Dunn, CitGo, etc......

Torg is from Minnesota and talks WAY too much about the Vikings, Cubs, Gophers, Hockey, CitGo, etc.......

My problem with the situation is this is central Ohio, Buckeye football and basketball are king and they are the only sports talk station in the industry. It would be SO easy for them to have a huge audience of people and keep that audience happy. I have to listen all day either way because it's on here at work all day, every day.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't be critical or honest about how they feel about OSU, but do that 1 day a week and for the rest of the time be positive and stick with Ohio State talk and less Vikings.

I can't wait til my boy Bobby Carp is done playing in the NFL and takes one of their spots and sits opposite of Speilman. Linebacker Radio.:oh:

You're missing the point--bass said that he said he "got trolled" into an email exchange with the radio host. We all know who sent the first email. So who is, as you say, the "douchebag" again?

Plug in the iPod and listen to Dan Patrick.
That's what I do. Common Man and Torg just troll for the base of Ohio State fans. Nothing but negative. It's like listening to two middle school kids talk about sports. I lasted about 5 minutes with them.

1230 am is alright, but I really like Dan Patrick. He's on while I'm at work so I can only listen on the way home. Dan Patrick app on my phone and plug in on the way home.

If they could get someone with half a brain to come on and talk Ohio State it'd be outstanding, but they are looking for the mouth breathers.

You got two choices, if you have an IPod download sports podcasts so you can listen to them on the drive. News might be a day or two old, but at least you keep your sanity.

OR if you have a Smartphone download a radio ap so you can listen to other radio stations in other areas. 92.3 in Cleveland has Dustin Fox on during the days. Show is call Bull & the Fox. Not 100% Buckeyes, but still better than Columbus radio and Hooley (gawd, I can't believe he got hired here in Cleveland)

I'm sure you've said the same things on the Bruce Hooley thread and ESPN thread....so now i'm a douche bag...for bitching about the format on the station that carries the broadcast rights for Ohio State games? I never said I had a right to anything...I said the market is prime for competition on a local level...if they are your buddies i'm really sorry for getting you so upset

Who brought the cool guy who is better than everyone without satellite?

As long as Hooley wasn't being completely radioactive, I didn't mind him in Columbus. His overeaction the Tressel email was radioactive. I had to turn it off; then he got fired and lost his mind going nuts over the Ohio State investigation on FSNOhio.com.

He has a good radio voice; he's articulate and intelligent. He just can't seem to maintain his sanity when the hometown team goes through a rough patch. That was his downfall and will be his downfall again. But for now, he's pretty good on Cleveland radio when he's not talking OSU.

If you put him on with someone that would challenge him like LB that would be a good listen...I like opposing view points I dont know where some think I want a station to broadcast a homer message...but it would be nice to have a local talk show in columbus with hosts that know college football and Ohio State...I mean know it...some of the bloggers on O-zone or 11 warriors...if they could take their writing format to radio I think it would make money in this town

Or choice number 3: Turn off the talk radio if it pisses you off and listen to music or static.

Hooley and LeCharles Bentley? That would be the best thing maybe to ever happen to sports radio. We could potentially have an on-air homicide, or at the very least, a serious beatdown.

i thought spielman and him together were good...i mainly listened because of spielman...but hooley alone i couldnt stand...like bassbuckeye did, i actually emailed hooley because he said something so idiotic i had to let him know how stupid he was for saying it...funny thing is that i actually met hooley and sat next to him during last years ohio state vs Northwestern bball game for the big 10 tourny at a restaurant/bar my girlfriend works at...hooley and i have a mutual friend, and that said mutual friend knows i hate hooley...he said he was coming in with spielman so i was all pumped up to meet him and was very dissapointed when he brought hooley in instead...he texted me 5 times while i was at the bar to come sit with them and meet hooley...so finally after 6 beers i went over there, fully prepared to do battle with hooley...but this was right after hooley's JT rant that got him fired so he basically spent the whole time not watching the game but instead talking about gene smith, JT and ohio state football...i basically didnt say anything the entire time and listened to him bitch about everything while watching the game and he finally shutup when he realized we were down 1 with 2 minutes to go...at that point i had to leave, said nice to meet you and he said the same...my opinion really didnt change of him after that which my friend was hoping...he basically was having his radio show while i was watching the game...i went back to the bar and watched ohio st win in OT and i told my friend to never do that to me again and he hasnt since

You're whining about a product that's being offered to you for free (and worse yet, boasting about a lame email fight you started with a radio host). Get over it. If you don't like the show, then turn the dial or save up some money so that you can subscribe to satellite radio.

Of course you conclude that I must be buddies with CM and the Torg because I call out your childish behavior. Just fyi--I don't ever listen to the show. Nice try, though.
