The political element of this concerns me. Some of the media cares and some do not. The weird spins like this is also concerning. As is the case with corporate punishment, many times they skate because of lobbying pressure.

If this was some recruiting malfeasance or something else off the field, I'd be more concerned. But this is a widespread cheating ring that directly affected results on the field. It goes directly to the integrity of the game. The NCAA HAS to make an example of them. If they don't, the might as well shutter up, because if you're going to let a team get away with cheating just because of their status, what's to stop anybody doing it? The entire sport would be a joke.

I don't even understand what this list is supposed to mean. Its like a reddit list of things that are/aren't tangentially related to some conspiracy that is/isn't true.

The names of both firms engaged by UMIT have never been leaked. There's been guesses and some handshaking, but that is brand new information that very few would know.

We have reported how Weiss got caught, but never knew who caught him or what those next steps up the ladder were. That info just wasn't out there... until this guy showed up.

The Weiss investigation is active, and there are indications that he is not the only current target. This individual had a reason for posting this when they did.
