I have misplaced my pants.
And I'm absolutely not defending them. My point was that if they want to die on the "we want to be safe about covid" hill, then die on it. Don't defend it only when it saves you from a beat-down, and then be turncoats to say that it was a dumb covid recruiting sanction. They should die on the hill or stay off it.I don't know how many of the athletes were football players...if any. But you test rigorously and quarantine any positive cases, like they'd been doing for the rest of the season, like every other program in America was doing. And you damn well know that if those 9 players were all starters or even backups, they would have explicitly let the world know that. The fact that they refused to say how many were football players just proves they were full of shit. Some tennis and soccer players tested positive, and they used that as an excuse to duck The Game. They wanted no part of what Day and Fields had in store for them.
Actually, they should just die.
(The football program, I mean - not the people.)
