1. I agree.
2. They aren't being left out this year, if they beat Purdue. This year. There's not enough teams to jump Indiana this year. Maybe another year there'll be teams with 2 losses that can pass Indiana. But it isn't happening this year.

To your second point; Several of those teams around IU in the standings are playing games they could damn well lose this weekend.

IU is not.
