Not to take a heaping dump in anyones Cheerios here, but reading these responses, people seem to have an awful lot of faith in the NCAA all of a sudden…and I’m not sure where that comes from
If I had to speculate for myself, it would be that 1.They desperately need something to prove that they're still relevant and 2.This really does cut to the core of the integrity of the on-field product and 3.Vegas might make them even if 1 and 2 are ignored.

If he wasn't allowed to coach during the week, I'd agree with you. But he is and that allows him to still do a lot. It'd have been much more impactful for the coordinators to get the immediate suspensions even if they could still coach during the week.
Yeah I wish we could’ve got that part too but I’d imagine that’s to limit the lawsuit in a way.

Make no mistake this hurts them. If you make god bleed as Ivan from Iron man 2 says….

I just think the B1G has limited options on how far they can go, because they can only address the sportsmanship part, and that area is super gray. I think we should take a step back and breath. What just happened is pretty big by a conference, because typically they stay out of discipline.

A fine would have been a joke. This is probably about as much as they can do without it becoming a full blown legal mess, and basically become futile with court intervention which could take weeks.
I'd rather the Big Ten had done nothing and punted to the NCAA. This so-called "discipline" actually helps tCun – their "Us Against the World!!!" morale boost will far outweigh the loss of Booger Eater on the sidelines.

Their only push back is to say they are innocent - and they can only say that if they have done their own investigation. All indications are that they have not.

What surprises me is that they went to 3 games. If I understand correctly that means that they went through that more intensive process (jsec or whatever it is called) involving all 14 schools.

Despite whatever Klatt and Desmond and all the others will be shouting they got their due process.
The 13-page letter states that the JPEG approved this action today.
