The more I think about it, the more frustrated I'd get if they are allowed to play in the conference championship game. This isn't "Hey, their cheating was years ago, not this year." This is, "They were cheating up to and maybe including the Michigan State game." This year. They have the chance to keep them out of the conference championship game. Allowing them in and then trying to take the game away after they've won it is almost the worst thing you can do. (The worst thing they can do is nothing.)
That's why I think the B1G needs to step in next week and forfeit their conference games to date and disqualify them from the BTCG and CFP. Then let the NCAA process run its course for the long term penalties. The B1G can't tell the other thirteen schools to go fuck themselves just because they're worried about not having a playoff team if Ohio State loses to tsun.

I am making an assumption that Dragonfly is the company at issue because Chris Spielman, back when he was broadcasting FBS games and doing radio for 97.1, name dropped them as the company he used to get the film to prepare for broadcasts. That was at least ten years ago. I don’t know that they’re still the gold standard today, so that assumption could be wrong on my part. Grain of salt…

But I’ve heard Momirovic’s account being logged into from IP addresses outside the state of Ohio from two sources.

In my head, i imagine B1G and NCAA having some discussions with scUM along the lines of "we highly advise you to self-sanction the postseason this year."
They will give Ono and Warde the chance to make the "right" choice -- with a gun to their heads, ofc.

My guess is it stared with the Weiss case. The university hired the third party to investigate to see if there was anything else. They found a bunch of stuff and self reported. One theory is that they self reported it to get rid or Harbaugh.
Or because the UMPD called in The Bureau, and they had no other options once that happened.

My guess is the hacking led to local PD looking at his laptop with minor FBI interest (it is across state borders), at which time they discovered his underage material which got the FBI much more interested.
And along the way it also took the top off the sign stealing scheme.... which has since taken on a life of its own.

"Up to and maybe including the MSU game". Whose to say they aren't just gonna keep doing it? Sure, Porn Name Marine is gone. but we're 3/4 of the way thru the regular season. They probably already have the data they need on PSU and OSU, which are the only two games really standing in their way. I hate those fucks up north for making me root for PSU next week instead of wishing for their demise like I always have.
They have 3 years worth of data.

They were scheduled to see 8 Ohio State games… I’d imagine that means since 2021 they’ve witnessed us over 20 times?

They aren’t going to stop attempting to steal our signs. Legal or not… the issue is they already have what they need.

One more thing – if tCun stops stealing signs and proceeds to lose to Penn State by 20 points in two weeks, then it becomes blatantly obvious how important the sign stealing has been over the past 2+ seasons. They have to keep stealing signs until they are literally forced to stop doing so, in the form of immediate mass firings, or forfeiting the remainder of their season, or both.

Lots of rumours right now

based on what is known, these clowns need to go down hard

but there is a near zero chance that all of the rumours are true

The most inflammatory rumour right now is that they have OSU practice film

i agree with BKB, they are unlikely to impose the death penalty ever again

But if they have practice film they should

That’s a huge if though, and to me it seems implausible right now. I’m not saying they didn’t do it; my main point is that I’ve seen no good reason to believe they did it

If the evidence does come out, it won’t even be a matter of changing my mind, because my mind is not made up on this point.

I don't think anyone is saying that stealing signs is illegal. But the way they were stealing the signs is illegal.
Pay attention to the dude across the field. If you figure out his signs, then good for you.
If you've already figured it out because you have games (plural) of footage of him making signals and you can compare that to game footage, and you've gone so far as to print out the signals and laminate the cards, yeah, that's illegal.
