This is a nothingburger. The NCAA was neutered.

I'm not so sure. This cuts to the heart of the integrity of the games (and the Vegas lines). Also, the B1G is now involved and took the unheard of position of warning tsun's future opponents. There's a lot here. My big question is will Porn Name Marine Guy flip or will he go full G. Gordon Liddy and be the fall guy due to some misguided sense of honor.

One thing for certain is that he was not operating on his own, and the coaches were not calling plays and schemes based on the analysis of some first year analyst with no coaching experience unless they knew exactly why that info was valid.

I am not so sure of this. It's much easier for Hutchinson to put Mumford on his ass if he knows it's a pass play, he has no run contain responsibility and he knows exactly where Mumford will be on his pass protection drop. The interesting thing is that with Porn Name Marine's suspension (likely for the rest of the season),we will have an an idea of how much of a competitive advantage SCUM has enjoyed. If they return to pre 2021 performance, that will say it was potentially definitive in providing results.

On the suspension, I think that the Michigan AD's quick move eliminating Stallion from the sideline shows that he sees a considerable fire under all the smoke that we currently see. Last year SCUM had no problem playing games to keep Mazi Smith on the field. The fact that the AD has taken this piece off the board now, to me at least, shows that there was some sort of prohibitive behavior and that it conferred some competitive advantage.
Michigan's biggest weakness was their poor game day coaching. Cheating completely eliminated that as an issue.

I don’t really care about anything retroactive, I just hope these cheating fucks start losing more now that everyone knows how they are cheating and it goes beyond being really good at “getting” your signals early in games.

I don't know. Seeing them cross that 1,000 win threshold, celebrate it, and then have to march it back would be quite glorious to see. Maybe even erotic.

My worry, is that scUM sacrificing him will make the case go away.
If they weren't already under an ongoing/ontinuing investigation...

This isn't small potatoes. They're being accused of very serious infractions, not a small bend of the rules. "Vast network" and "competitive advantage" are the terms being used. That's bad (or good depending on your vantage point) news.

When the words "competitive advantage" start getting thrown around, it is not a "nothing burger." That impacts more than just the NCAA. When Vegas starts being affected, shit gets taken very seriously. If the goods are there, Simple Jim is burnt toast at the very least
And if Vegas is involved, does that essentially blackball Simple Jim from any NFL job?

I don't know the legalities, but I would also think all of the home non-conference opponents could claim that they came to Ann Arbor (is a whore) under false pretenses of a fair matchup and that put their student-athletes' health and safety at risk. Hell, any opponent could claim that, but specifically the non-conference opponents could have sought out a different opponent had they thought their student-athletes' health and safety were in jeopardy.
