This isn’t the same thing as an employee accusing another employee of playing grab ass or similar. This is the government accusing your entire company of malfeasance. I’m not suspending my accountant if the IRS informs me of an audit. If I do, I might as well just show up at the front door of the closest federal prison.

I am not so sure of this. It's much easier for Hutchinson to put Mumford on his ass if he knows it's a pass play, he has no run contain responsibility and he knows exactly where Mumford will be on his pass protection drop. The interesting thing is that with Porn Name Marine's suspension (likely for the rest of the season),we will have an an idea of how much of a competitive advantage SCUM has enjoyed. If they return to pre 2021 performance, that will say it was potentially definitive in providing results.

On the suspension, I think that the Michigan AD's quick move eliminating Stallion from the sideline shows that he sees a considerable fire under all the smoke that we currently see. Last year SCUM had no problem playing games to keep Mazi Smith on the field. The fact that the AD has taken this piece off the board now, to me at least, shows that there was some sort of prohibitive behavior and that it conferred some competitive advantage.

I totally agree Day and SCUM opponents need to up their game in play call signals. But I would think that it would be very difficult to implement their system without the "Stallion Clog".

I don't think the issue is that one dude alone, but the information that was collected by an analyst being present at the games collecting and video taping material, then breaking that down for game purposes. It will be difficult to pull that off under a micriscope.

A couple of other ideas on this situation that have been bouncing around my head since this was announced. (and we all are waiting for the game to start.)

With SCUM having a bye next week, if they know they have significant exposure, they may try to get ahead of the situation. In this case the most likely action would be to fire Pron Name Marine. I don't think they would do this, but if you see them do it, they know it is real bad.

On the Silver Linings front-

If it is as bad as we are speculating that it is, (and even it is only slightly bad), the SCUM team has become "addicted" to this crutch. Mentally, they may not be as "tuff" without it.

And one of the things that made me mad about The Game in 2021 is that it let those cocksuckers off the mat that we had them on for 20 years. Mentally, this will help the current Buckeye team to reset that narrative.

As I explained above, this just admits their guilt. Nothing this $55k per year employee did was in a vacuum. Like every other $55k per year employee in this world, they did what their boss told them to do.

JImmy tried to be the hard man and tell them to go to hell.

Then all of a sudden tsun gave themselves a 4 game suspension (they obviously know that go to hell isn't the right approach given what the NCAA has on them)

The NCAA told them that will not be good enough. More is coming. So they reduced it to 3 themselves.

The NCAA never tells anyone "that's not enough, we are going to do more"

Now add this latest bit and odds are more toward the something will happen vs won't happen side. The NCAA is weak if you don't give them an easy case. If you are dumb enough to give them what they can go after, they are probably dying to show the world that they are relevant.
