DFBIA Time Machine

This episode of DFBIA Time Machine comes to you from January 2023. The Buckeyes have just won the National Championship and the Walmart Wolverines are… well… predictable. You probably could have written this script last August.

Bloo_Balls_812: The Luckeyes should send that ugly trophy to Stadium and Main. It’s so, like, obvious that they were inspired by the unrelenting awesomeness of the 2021 Wolverines.

Bloo_No_Hoo: Right? Like, totally

2_Bloo_4_U: No doubt bruh. They better enjoy this while it lasts. These wolverines are HUNGRY after the disaster of ‘22; they’ll learn from this year and the legacy of the great 2021 team and this will inspire a decade of dominance.

Bloo_Balls_812: Oh 4 sure bro. Mark it down. This one little NC will be a footnote to the history of the impending Wolverine Dynasty!!1!

Oh yea. They will completely forget all these lavish claims and predictions they are making right now and flip the script that 2022 was "destined to be a rebuilding year" to get players seasoned and amped up for a legendary run in 2023.

Where do you even find practice reports for UM? Ohio State has at least three sites doing nearly daily podcast updates. I can’t find anything for Michigan (although I haven’t looked that hard).

I usually just scan the GoBlow board. If there is anything it usually gets posted on there. There's Stadium and Main too but that place is pretty dead these days (now operated by 247) But this is true, they don't have anywhere near the online information flow that Ohio State and other top schools do.

Anytime I look at the MGoBoard it’s 95% bullshit and almost nothing about football much less news about practice.

Another "stupid take" of the day

I dispute the comment about an injury to our QB being a “major problem”. If OSU lost Stroud they lose their season, if we lose Cade/JJ we’re still ok.

Ohio State would bomb without Stroud, but scUM would be A-OK with any QB injury. Ok..............

I know that BP isn’t an example of our entire fanBase, but at least here and a few other sites show a good number of rational fans. Who have knowledge about scUM’s team. But how idiotic can the DFBIA be if they don’t know that our Backups were also just as highly rated as Stroud coming out. Would OSU be in trouble if Stroud went down? Yes. But not nearly to the effect if scUM loses one of their QBs. I’d go out on a limb and say that McCord could win the B1G as the starter this year. ScUM doesn’t have the same QB strength at all, and definitely not the same WR talent. Where we have 3rd stringers who would start for every team in the B1G

Said it once and I'll say it again; given their cheesecake schedule, they'll roll into Columbus with no more than 1 loss and ranked in the top ten. They'll roll out with another loss. Never mind how their roster looks compared to the Buckeyes; compared to the rest of the Big Ten they've got more talent.

You forgot "If the homer $uckeyes refs hadn't cheated we would have won "The Game" and stopped those losers in their tracks".

( Damn it was hard to actually type that)

A cornucopia of bad DFBIA takes.

More DFBIA crying about "lack of respect".

Because ESPN only put 2 of their players in their top 100.

Lot's of whining about Henderson coming in ahead of Corum.

YES! That's what i saw. they sing praises of Paris, yet... he didnt play over that clown show line they had last year?

That said, who do we think is in that top 100? I think Andrel Anthony or Erick All could play their way in, but our offense doesn't put up stats that show people what our guys can do.. and with all the weapons, its diluted a bit.

Who else needs to be on the list?

Andrel Anthony had 12 catches last year and seems like more of a "gadget" player than anything at this point. Erick All is not even a top 10 (maybe not even a top 20) TE in college football.

Also there's the built in excuse for why none of these supposed "weapons" will have very impressive numbers. "THERES JUST TOO MANY OF THEM!!" Ok.......

All is awesome and Anthony has big play ability.

Donovan Edwards will be a Heisman finalist.

Mazi about to make a statement.....

and Barrett, what about Barrett?

More Mazi Smith drooling because he put up nice workout numbers. The product on the field to date has not matched though.

Barrett is Michael Barrett. The one they called "THICC CURTIS SAMUEL" (weirdos) guy is coming into his 5th year at scUM putting up a MASSIVE 71 Tackles and 2 Sacks in his first 4 years combined. "Statement" indeed.

Edwards and JJ will be in the top 100 come December

Plenty of "Where is McCarthy" talk as well. They have already basically relegated Reno Jesus to 2nd class citizen.

Last year, ESPN ranked one Michigan player in the top 100- Hutchinson was #53.

Also, they had Ohio State with 5 in the top 100.

Could someone remind me how all of that turned out again?

The typical "THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT OHIO STATE AND MICHIGAN ONCE SO THATS HOW IT IS FOREVER NOW" thought and logic process.

Never forget, Michigan was ranked in the 1st two weeks of the 2020 season and unranked to start last year. I don't mind the "disrespect".

People have mentioned Smith/Edwards/JJ below, but players like Ronnie Bell, Erick All, almost any Olineman and according to the football bits, Junior Colson could end up here by end of the year.

"BUT BUT 2020 AND THEN 2021" all they can talk about is the past, and because the "experts" were wrong on them exactly one time it means they are forever going to be wrong.

Also Ronnie Bell is nowhere near a top 100 overall player. Their fetish for him is comical.

You should be welcoming the DizRezpekt. The last thing Michigan needs right now is a lot of smoke blown up their butts about how great they are before they've played a game.

They are blowing plenty enough smoke up their OWN butts from the sound bites we've gotten so far.

Also can't forget that they will figure out a way to schedule whine and claim the B1G "set them up for failure" with how the schedule was set up. Even though their schedule is comically soft this year, they will find a way to twist it into that.
