They basically are running a modern version of Tresselball. I don’t recall ever thinking Ohio State’s offenses were going to dominate anyone, but that our great defense and good enough offense would grind other teams into submission.

The fact that they can’t embrace who they are, and in fact doth protest too much against it, is one of the foundational pillars of their collective stupidity.

Meanwhile, on defense, losing their best players and coordinator has the head guy optimistic.

These clowns really need slapped back to reality. May their arrogance and hubris lead to their fall.

Maybe if scUM had a track record of constant and sustained success under Harbaugh or anytime in this lifetime someone besides DFBIA and their coaches might actually buy the notion that their defense is somehow going to be "EVEN BETTER!" after losing by far their 3 best players and their bright young coordinator who orchestrated the whole thing. But yes the castoff coach from Vanderbilt who nobody else wanted and a bunch of generic stock 3* replacement players are going to crank it up to a higher level.

As absurd as that take is by Harbaugh and DFBIA the "2nd string offense so talented" claim is a even worse take. Edwards is the only "elite" recruit on that list. The rest are a bunch of low 4* or 3*. I think DFBIA just thinks "we won the conference last year so that means all of our players are automatically upper level"

One year ago, they were resigned to becoming a doormat and couldn't wait for the Harbrau to take his baseball glove and Woody Hayes costume elsewhere. Now, after one decent season by tOSU standards, they're roundly predicting utter dominance despite losing the two best players on their defense, the guys who literally made it functional and the coordinator that oversaw it. A guy lent to him by his brother to save his ass. They seem to have forgotten how thoroughly they got their arses stretched out by a UGA team with a good (not great) offense when they neutralized those two DEs. Truly remarkable. DFBIA, indeed.

Ha. "Win at least 8 games in the Big Ten." So... 8 or 9 games? They only have a 9-game schedule. So they're saying they lose 0 or 1 game with their back-ups. So, are they predicting that their starters lose 0 or 1 game? I mean, that one game - just because their back-ups couldn't win it doesn't mean that their starters can win it. But if their starters lose 2 or more games, is it because this guy is wrong or was the *ichigan coaching staff wrong in choosing their starters?

This ranks up there with "Who would win between the '75 Steelers or '85 Bears?" There's no way to test it and no one can win the argument. Except the one arguing that the *ichigan back-ups can win anything is just a dufus.

The initial thought was that his brother was giving him the dud from the Ravens staff. Turns out he was using Jimbo as a playpen to see if the guy had what it took to be a DC.....then he took him back. Even his brother treats him as a step ladder.
