And insisting on maximum criminal charges while the two players go after a payday from Michigan State.

Yep, as you said the assault is not justified at all by any means, but scUM pretending like they were just going about their happy go lucky time and the boogeyman just came out of nowhere and attacked them completely unprovoked is both comical and incredibly false. Unfortunately Sparty had no composure. But let's not act like scUM are the good guys here either.

Simple Jim and tsun are going to push this too far. They should have just accepted MSU's apology, taken the public relations W and let local prosecutors decide what needs to be done next. Instead--and 100% in character--they're naturally going to push this to the limit because they think it presents them nationally as morally superior and as pure as the driven snow. They're publicly lobbying for the harshest criminal charges (and letting local prosecutors know that the town's 800 pound financial and political guerilla has a vested interest in their decisions) while the players are going after a payday.

They're going to push it a bridge too far, and I think we'll find out exactly what those two players were doing in the tunnel and what they were saying to instigate the physical confrontation.

nothing better, in the middle of the season, with a team that has a legit shot for the second year in a row to get into the playoffs than to throw this incident into the mix and really blow it up to focus your locker room and your players...

the guy's a f*cking aardvark (not sure why that picture jumps into my head). he's always packing something... maybe he's come off his meds again. or he's trying to out-franklin franklin being an east-coast d*ckhead.

at some point you'd think the university's lawyers would tell him to can it because the design and layout of this tunnel has been under question for decades and decades exactly for this reason. it may be a dark tight back alley, but it's TSUN's dark tight back alley that they refuse to fix.

I bet there’s zero film evidence of the tsun players laying hands on first.

You can read that sentence in multiple ways to extract what I am getting at. You know me well enough at this point to get the point I’m getting at.

But but but but for 156893 years there was NEVER A SINGLE PROBLEM in their precious tunnel where they hold their Bible studies and calculus workshops…didn’t you get the memo?

They could go full aTm on it: "It's tradition! Both teams enter from the same tunnel, both teams run under the banner, both teams get to demonstrate good sportsmanship by letting us do things our way.

Just found this interesting.

It's all Corum for scUM

Edwards really has been meh outside of the Penn State game and the first 2 games against scrubs. There's a noticeable difference when he's in vs Corum, it's not even close to the same.

If Corum were to get hindered by injuries scUM would be in big big trouble.

Corum has been very consistent, hasn't been explosive either, from what I've seen. He's been under 6 yards per carry in every game but Maryland (30 for 243) and Hawaii (9 for 88).

Will be interesting to see if they can actually pound on Rutgers this year.

Rutgers last year lost:

52-13 to Ohio State
31-13 to Michigan State
21-7 to Northwestern (a 3-9 team)
52-3 to Wisconsin
28-0 to Penn State
40-16 to Maryland

Yet managed to hang tight with scUM and only lose 20-13. scUM was actually outgained by Rutgers 352-275. Rutgers had the ball with a chance to tie with 2 minutes left but fumbled it away.

Rutgers offense is averaging around the same YPG that they did last year, while their defense statistically has allowed quite a bit less (295.3 YPG in 2022 compared to 398.1 YPG in 2021)

He gets a TON of carries.

Shocked he’s made it this far into the year without any minor setbacks.

VERY GOOD back.

They're definitely a pain in the ass. Their defense isn't amazing but it's effective and persistent. Probably not going to be nearly good enough to stop the rushing attack. Could get a few TOs from McCarthy though.
