I’m highly doubtful….i think it’s way more realistic he could return for the playoff.

It’s notoriously difficult to get loose in cold weather which is exactly where we’re at in Big 10 play.

Should we beat Michigan, you get the benefit of all indoor practices bc there’s no need to practice in “the elements” and you have an extra few weeks to work him back into gameplan.

I don’t see him having an impact prior to postseason.

If we make playoffs I think we see him again. If it’s just a bowl game, he’s not
coming back this year.

Wild take……if he can’t make an impact this year and put any good tape on film, he may be back next year. While MH Jr. jumps him as the #1 WR, JSN can still get himself to the #2 WR on the board. Based on how the season has gone and mocks I’m looking at, he has slid to a late first/early second rd pick…..with a healthy season he’s probably a top 10 pick. And he gets a nice chunk on NIL $$$
Benefit of NIL is maybe we get another year from fringe players not sure if they want to go pro.

I'm also in the camp that's doubtful he plays this regular season. Hopefully we can win these last 3 games without him and he can come back for the playoffs.

I hear you, but JSN returning, would mean all top 5 WRs return, and then the 4 frosh. No way do we keep them all, on top of bringing in another 4 WRs in 2023. It's going to be hard enough keeping guys next year even if JSN leaves.

I listened to a podcast by Joel Klatt about the Ohio State running game. He gave some convincing stats about how the Offense is much better running downhill than it is stretch plays. The OL using its size and strength vs finesse plays makes sense. Hopefully we will see this as our bread & butter against TTUN.

Hopefully our bread and butter against TTUN isn't our running game, but rather our passing game.

Actually, I would love to see us beat them at their own game.
Why?

I would love to see us just beat them.

Rack up the TDs like rolling thunder... by the fastest and the most efficient means possible.

If we hang a hundy on them and not one of those scores comes from a rushing touchdown I wouldn't care a bit.

What's that saying about wrestling with a pig?

F*ck those guys. F*ck *ichigan.

10 TD's for Stroud sounds amazing

Couple things with this offense...

1. We really need Jaxon back at 100%. Something doesn't seem right with our passing game and IMO it's because Harrison is elite, Egbuka is solid but then we really have no one else. Fleming is struggling and we don't really play anyone else. Cj is getting a lot of time to throw but no one is getting open right now.

2. TEs could be used more in the throw game but we aren't taking advantage of Gee Scott or Stover.

3. Just throw away the stretch zone runs please.

4. 4th and 1 and we throw a roll out? We were successfully running for first downs all game and then we go roll out pass? Just QB sneak it.

5. Ryan Day has been very very slow to adjust and if we want any shot this week that's got to change. It was clear after the first drive that Trey wasn't right and yet he still played all game.

I don’t think his stubbornness/tendency to be slow to adjust is just going to go away within a week (not saying anyone is saying it will) and that kind of just sucks. He’s doing well for the program but I’m beginning to really question the balance with which he operates with calling the offense and managing the team effectively

Its hard to argue with his success.... he's only lost 4 games in 4 years lol.

But that said, it's hard to know what it is that feels off to me. Probably overall it's the injuries the more I think of it. Offense line banged up, missing our top 3 backs and our best offensive weapon hasn't played all year. That's got to be hard when your offense relies on players and they go out for extended times.

Every team is dealing with the same things.
