It'd be interesting for OSU to come out in a heavy formation for short yardage and then shift to a 4 wide set as a wrinkle. Usually not a fan of this cause half the time it ends up in illegal motion, but it could be a twist. Would probably be better to just work 4 wide and lighten up the box.

We've also seen heavy formations with Egbuka and Harrison as a sole WR. Could be reminiscent of the TD pass in 06 to Ginn on 3rd and short.

The Buckeyes passed out of a heavy formation and got a big play out of it

Were they holding that back for Indiana?
Did they show it just to give the TUN safeties a reason to hesitate?
Were they reading this board?

Or are they just expanding the playbook incrementally throughout the season?

Fuck Michigan

It was from the pistol formation too... that's how to effectively maneuver a defense by formation.

Heavy formation. Rossi and Xavier in the I. Stover and Gee Scott at TE. Harrison out wide. get em set for heavy. Reset with Xavier, Scott, Harrison wide with Stover running up the seam. I seriously doubt there are many teams capable of matching up with those 5 players ability to go from power to air raid at a moments notice.

So who thinks JSN may play in the game?

I hope he does, would not be surprised if he doesn't, but the vision of the mind fuck it would bring to the TTUN is delightful.

Can you just imagine, the TTUN are planning on how to shut down Harrison, and then a stealthy healthy JSN just appears on the roster that morning, after running secret practices with team?

I would not be colored surprised if this happens, and gosh I am hoping it's a possibility.

I realize that I sound like a social media rube, but my gut is telling me OSU is holding back.

What exactly, not sure, but I think JSN may be one as well as other things.

I think this whole trying to over power other teams in the trenches is not going to be the game plan against the TTUN and the playoffs.

That's not what they are good at, and I think they were fucking around with it, just because they could.

I think that is clearly the plan. Hope it happens.

I’m highly doubtful….i think it’s way more realistic he could return for the playoff.

It’s notoriously difficult to get loose in cold weather which is exactly where we’re at in Big 10 play.

Should we beat Michigan, you get the benefit of all indoor practices bc there’s no need to practice in “the elements” and you have an extra few weeks to work him back into gameplan.

I don’t see him having an impact prior to postseason.

If we make playoffs I think we see him again. If it’s just a bowl game, he’s not
coming back this year.

Wild take……if he can’t make an impact this year and put any good tape on film, he may be back next year. While MH Jr. jumps him as the #1 WR, JSN can still get himself to the #2 WR on the board. Based on how the season has gone and mocks I’m looking at, he has slid to a late first/early second rd pick…..with a healthy season he’s probably a top 10 pick. And he gets a nice chunk on NIL $$$
