2022 Rose Bowl, tOSU vs Utah, Jan 1st @ 5pm EST, ESPN

Obviously, we did not do well in our last game. How much did the flu affect the team? Day said that a significant amount of players were impacted. It's not an excuse but it could have been a factor.
With that being said I've seen Utah play 3-4 times this year and they will present some challenges. They are very physical. They have some speed as well. They are playing at a very high level.
How motivated are the good guys going to be? Can they limit the Utes running game? Can we get our own running game going? We will find out soon!
GO BUCKS!
GO DAWGS!

They are up with tsun, Penn State and Nebraska in every defensive category that you need to slow this OSU offense down.

They are better than tsun in yards per rushing attempt. The only thing they aren't as good at (statistically) is passing. They are way down around #74 in yards per attempt and #82 in yards per completion.

Won't make a fuck bit of difference if they are getting 7 yards a carry but we've got the fact that they aren't a good passing team going for us. Which is nice.

Their passing stats are suppressed by the disastrous Charlie Brewer experiment.

Im on the flip side with Michigan.

#1….they didn’t beat OSU by 3 scores. They beat us by two scores and we gave them a TD at end of game to get ball back. Secondarily, it took a snow storm and perfect conditions for them to execute what they wanted.

Michigan, IMO, isn’t as good as people think they are. I think Georgia is going to humiliate them on a beautiful south Florida field where they won’t get a neutralizing component to help them.

Again, as a guy who plays (gambles) college games as a secondary past time, if OSU were to play Michigan on an indoor track, they’d have been a 7-9 pt favorite even after losing in Ann Arbor.

Michigan is very one dimensional and Georgia is going to make running the ball
on them hell. I think UGA is gonna rip their soul from them. Georgia opened -7.5…..I will be surprised if Michigan keeps it within 20.

Totally with you on UGA and tsun.

I said in some other thread that tsun is tailor made for UGA.

Utah lost 2 players to gun violence over this past year. Definitely a tough season for that program to start but they’ve found their groove and play hard as hell. Can’t underestimate the power of human tragedy - I have little doubt Zeke and the Bucks carried the weight of Kosta Karageorge with them on their run.

I think Utah will be really fired up to win a Rose Bowl.
