I never remember a Rose Bowl when losing to scUM … weird. But a grace(undeserved) gift from football gods.

I know this will be unpopular but I couldn't care less for the Rose Bowl after losing to TTUN. I am sure the older members will give me a good scolding about how it's the Grandaddy of them all but meh.

I highly doubt anyone under the age of 40 gives a single fried chicken fuck about the Rose Bowl. Ohio St has only had 4 appearances in that person’s lifetime.I know this will be unpopular but I couldn't care less for the Rose Bowl after losing to TTUN. And they lost to Brigham Young, San Diego State, and Oregon State. They are 3-3 on road games, which this will be.

It ain’t the same since Keith Jackson went to the big press box in the sky.
An awful lot has changed since the Rose was THE destination and goal each year. It’s still pretty nostalgic and I still hope to catch the Buckeyes playing in Pasadena one day.

The downside of the playoff - only three postseason games "matter" now.

For the record I am in mid-40s and the game used to be the goal but now it is just an exhibition game against Utah. I will still watch and yell at my tv like it is the natty.

Agreed. Same. It's still the best scene in sports. You have a few drinks in you on New Year's Day and watch the team. Can't complain too much about that. Even if there are opt outs, that arguably helps them for next year and obviously the guys replacing Wilson or Munford etc should be a talented enough to beat Utah if the team's mind is in the right place.
