It goes with coaching/managing, everyone needs different type of motivation. Maybe Harrison needs praise. Where the Bosa's didn't. I'm just guessing here as someone who's managed people. I could be wrong thoughI’d keep Larry but why has he been hyping Harrison every time he can for two years. He didn’t praise the Bosa’s as much as Harrison.
LJs unit has technically underachieved for 1yr. If we're not counting last year. And the DL has played well in spurts. Just not consistently, but I have more optimistism in the young DL than I do in other positions like say Safety or LB. The fact that Chambers was far and away our best LB, says a lot, and our most tenured in Mitchell was nowhere to be found most of the season. At least I feel confident in Williams. JTT, Sawyer going into next season. Outside of Chambers who makes you feel confident about the LBS? What S makes you feel confident, Proctor who hasn't lived up to his billing yet? Outside of Burke we hVe a lot of unknowns at CB as well. I feel more confident that LJsr can get more out of Hall as well next seasonI was one of the people okay with giving a mulligan for last year. I didn't think it was fair to judge based on one disjointed season, but I always said this is a "prove it" year. Well, they didn't prove it. Yes, they had some good games and performed better once some roles/duties were shifted around, but today exposed the same glaring issues again.
I'm also curious about so many people's rationale for keeping LJ. His unit has underachieved more than any other given the way he's recruited. I'd place a lion's share of the blame for both 2021 losses on his DL. In both games they generated little-to-no pressure and got blown off the ball in the run game. Other than reward for past performance, I don't understand. IMO, LJ, Coombs and Washington are the 3 that should be evaluated the hardest because they've been bad for 2 seasons.
