Nothing this “Committee of the Whole” does should surprise anyone.

If Cincinnati wins out, the committee won't want to take the heat for moving ND above UC. They would just move on to another one-loss G5 to fill the spot. ND's unranked opponents are not enough better than UC's unranked opponents to pass UC.

Every year there's talk about a two-loss team getting a bid and it hasn't happened yet. When you're only picking four teams, a two-loss team getting in is probably bullshit.

OU losing should bump ND and Okie State up a spot. What will be interesting is to see how far they actually drop OU.

He torches the Georgia D on this run. We have legit SEC speed at all positions.

Besides that 1 run he had 7 carries for 18 yards in that game SEC caliber indeed! It's easy to cherry pick certain highlights and try to paint them as the broad picture.

You also have to account for the head to head if both have weak strength of schedule, and UC won that battle

I think the way this year is shaking out it actually may be possible. Especially with the boner they have for Bama.

Does the committee give Bama the nod if they lose to UGA in a close one in the SEC CG w/ 2 losses? I don't belive they deserve it, but I could see it happening. They aren't dropping them more than a couple spots and if OSU can take care of business then MSU and UM are out of the mix. And I could see Oregon going down to Utah this weekend too. That would make the ND/Bama/Okie St. (if they win out) argument real interesting.

If they hold Bama at #2 into the SEC title game (which is going to happen unless they severely struggle with Arkansas or Bama) its a very real possibility. A close game all game that results in a FG loss they can say "well we don't feel they deserved to drop 3 spots to #5 and out of the playoff for barely losing to #1"

maybe the committee surprises us and actually rewards OSU for beating 3 highly ranked teams in consecutive weeks and they bi-pass Bama in the rankings going into CCG week and they have OSU at #2 after their beatdown wins of Purdon't, MSU, ttun?
