2020 Team Discussion Thread

I agree but at this point theres nothing Justin can do... he can't learn an offense in 2 weeks. That's a big risk to him and his draft status and that sucks.

I will never forgive the big ten for this and I'm being honest here I really hope everyone does the super conference soon.

If he goes back to Georgia the learning curve is much shorter and I become a Dawg fan for a season. Fuck Warren and the 11 assclowns who created this mess.

No way... they play in 2 weeks and he wouldn't be ready for the defenses he sees.

I agree with the rest though. Honestly I wish we would leave the big ten. Crazy I know but Ohio State needs to go where schools take football serious.

It sounds even crazier to say that but the ramifications of not playing is enormous and no one in the big ten seems to get that.

For those coming at this that endowment is king? Football drives applications.

I agree with you on the vast majority of this, but looking at where this is going, Ohio State University might be better off staying put.

The epidemic seemed to grind this country to a halt in some ways, but some cultural changes were sent into overdrive by this situation. I think the divestiture of academia and the NFL's minor league was always going to happen someday; now someday is a lot closer than it used to be. The combination of University's and amateur sports is not common world-wide; it is close to being a uniquely American phenomenon. It is a strange relationship to the rest of the world; it will be considered one of the stranger parts of our history by our great-great grandchildren. It is a relationship that simply doesn't make sense on a whole host of levels for football. The NFL's minor league does not need universities in order to thrive, much less exist, and universities all over the world do just fine without any amateur sports presence at all.

I would love for the CRC to work itself out of existence, but I suspect it will still be around when our great-great grandchildren are watching the Columbus Buckeyes extend the winning streak over the Ann Arbor Wolverines to triple-digits.

Ohio State should think about protecting the relationships that will last. Yes, the teams that make up the B1G in football might still play each other in 50 or even 100 years, but that fact won't have anything at all to do with the universities except for the fact that some of the teams might still be paying rent for using the facilities.
