Allegedly a vote being held tomorrow by Big 10 on resuming football.

I am going to take the contrarian view here. We are going to get some good news this week. And then, look the fuck out. This team will be playing for keeps
I'm starting to believe the Conference will never allow this "all time great" Buckeye team to grace the field. Time to go Independent, I'm done speaking up for the B1G. Ohio against the fucking WORLD. If he stacked it correctly Kevin Warren will look like a genius, I just refuse to see Marshall and co. play football but somehow we can't.

Oh now its later this week...

The big ten is running out the clock. This is equivalent of a large company personally tanking their business.

This is the equivalent of a large company not really giving a shit about one of it's lesser revenue channels.

This isn't the whole business by any stretch.

I think you under sell the effects sports has on applications to these schools.

You think Rutgers admissions are up because of all the football success?

All in all, the B1G and all the universities that comprise it, makes their money from grants, research and large donations. Sports is a drip in the bucket and sports driving admissions is an even smaller part.

The SEC is just sports, the B1G has another business altogether which is hard for us as fans of B1G sports sometimes but at the end of the day, it's easier for something to just mean more to you, when that's all you have.

I thought that was a pretty clear correlation between sports success and increase in enrollment, no?

Also, it’s impossible to connect brand awareness that big time sports brings and follow exactly how that connects to the growth of universities but it sure seems to me that it plays a big part.

I mean, I would have never had App State as my second favorite team or even knew they existed if not for that glorious day.

Well no shit. Obviously at some point between now and when the sun extinguishes there will be games again.
Flag football or intramurals it seems only tOSU can make a financial go of Major College Football in the Big 10 ... the rest are dying . It’s not CoVid it’s the Co morbidities.scUm admin. has to be thinking we are paying Harbaugh what to coach football!
