I'll take UCF over barn any day of the week. Let Bama get shut out while the winner of the Iron Bowl gets boat raced by UCF.
per mcmurphy's "sources," throw in iowa vs. boston college, msu vs. washington, and ttun vs. south carolina. this is as favorable as it gets.the silver lining for osu not making the playoff is that the conference's top bowl game match-ups are much more favorable. osu-usc, uw-miami, and psu-wash are all highly winnable games for the b1g teams. had osu been selected to play clemson, the outlook would look quite a bit dimmer overall on a win-loss basis.

I hope Clemson does worse then 31-0 and OU blows out Georgia. UCF beating Auburn would be great as well. Destroy the SEC and Bama myth of superiority.I've made plenty of arguments why we got left out and why our play didn't dictate us deserving it... But the more I think about the more pissed I am on principle alone.
Bama jumping is not like last year... We jumped the B10 champ because the committee thought we were the better B10 team. If the committee was so high on Bama and championships don't matter (which they made clear last year) then they should have left Georgia out. If Bama is not better than Georgia then they shouldn't be playing. Thr playoffs were suppose to answer who is the beat team across all conferences and not make it a playoff for an individual conference.
Fuck Bama and the committee.
Still, I don't think our offense is potent or consistent enough to go all the way and after last year I would rather be left out than see the same thing happen and I'm not confident that last years debacle couldn't repeat itself.

RE: 2017 CFB Thread
The committee will never expand to 8, especially not with auto bids for G5 conference champions.
Why, you say?
Because eventually they won't be able to keep G5 schools out and perpetuate the myth that there is a huge division in quality between the best teams in each conference (there's not). With equal access to the playoffs, recruiting rankings for G5 schools will rise, coaches will stay in the G5 more often instead of bolting to lower tier P5 schools, more G5 schools will begin with higher preseason rankings which will make Top 8 consideration easier. Pretty soon, G5 conferences will start getting more viewers with more prime time games and program recognition and will command higher value contacts with media partners.
In short, it will blow up college football as we know it.

Yeah, it's quite similar to last year and I've no interest in putting words in your mouth. Please go cry on someone else's shoulder.
