The next coach is going to have a ground-up rebuild. We're well on our way to being late-Ayers era bad.

How often does one recruiting class absolutely sink a program and torpedo a once beloved coach? Because, holy cow, that class was an ICBM right to the heart of this program.
We might legit be the worst team in the B1G next year.
I guess the upside is the new coach will have a TON of open scholarships to rebuild with his own players. And he won't have to deal with the probation/postseason ban Thad did. So we have that going for us, which is nice.
The bad news is the guy who SHOULD be coaching the Buckeyes is now in Bloomington. So that pretty much sucks balls.

I'm not too pessimistic just yet. The loss of Thompson was bad, the loss of Lyle...could be a blessing. We are probably pretty attractive now to Daniels or Cam Johnston, with lots of shots available. If we get solid PG play out of Jackson and Beverly, there is enough fire-power in Tate and KBD to actually make some noise. I'm not sure I could watch another season of Lyle's decisions anyways. I agree, however, that the odds of Thad surviving this dumpster fire are considerably low.
