2017-2018 Ohio State Men's Basketball (24-7, 15-3, #2 Seed in B1G Tourney)

I don't think anyone is denying that they just aren't a very talented team. They were playing really good basketball mid season, were moving the ball, playing tenacious defense, and had a little extra spark, which they were able to overcome the talent gap.

Well, that ball movement is gone, KBD has not dominated like he had been, bad shot selection, and the lack of overall talent and a thin bench is finally starting to catch up with them.

Recipe for an early exit.

The way they are playing RIGHT NOW, MaxBuck. Of course they could get hot. CBB is a crap shoot, especially with the right or wrong match ups within their bracket. We know the type of team that gives OSU fits (PSU x's 3), and unfortunately, those are the types of teams they are most likely going to see in a tournament, lose 1 and your done-type scenario going forward. Would be thrilled will an opening-game win in Holt's 1st yr, but reality check time, MaxBuck. Take the OSU goggles off, this team has way too many holes to make a run. I have been watching a lot of hoops this year, and although the Bucks may be ranked in the top 20, their talent level and a weak Big 10 says they aren't nearly that good.

Buckeyes overcame a horrid 0-15 start to give Gonzaga a battle - much better than the first meeting - but after rallying to take a lead there wasn't enough left in the tank to bring home a win as the Zags hit some big shots down the stretch to prevail, 90-84.

So it ends in the round of 32 at 25-9, far better than any realistic Buckeye fan would've dreamed of back in November. Coach Holtmann's first season in Columbus was more than promising, and I look forward to seeing what he can do as he adds his own recruits to the returning lettermen.

Always a proud alum, go Bucks!
