Anyway, just need to get somebody with a sense of style and class to provide the input on some of these hideous freaking uniforms for our teams. Why not the Wolf outfit for basketball? The old Gray unis are the best we've ever put on the court. Hell, these two reds dont even freaking match!

We knew that going in but I actually pictured even worse. Let's see how they are about game 8. Just need a full squad and enough experience to handle all the tough periods. Tonight was an excellent opportunity for growth in my opinion. Last years squad would have folded during TS's run.

Hope Kaleb got the message and is good to go. This team is very "solid" with Kaleb Wesson getting minutes. Buckguy is right; he is going to be the crunch-time guy, if he isn't starting by later on.

I'm guessing Holt was trying to motivate Kam, as well. Musa with the start and more minutes.

I liked what I saw from Dakich, also. Good contributions in his nine minutes. Get the ball moving and hit his three. Nice find to Potter for the dunk.

First, its tough to take a ton away from the first three games given the opponents. The competition starts to pick up next week (NE is better than anyone we've played so far), so it will give us some better insight as to what we can expect by the time we hit the conference games. The effort from everyone was good last night (and assume similar the first 2 games).

I think Jallow is simply just playing better than Kam and thats why he started. No reason to send any messages to guys unless they aren't playing hard and I don't see that being the case with Kam. I don't know if its a confidence thing with Kam or what, but he just looks hurried, like the game has never slowed down for him.

I continue to think PG is going to be an issue once we hit better competition and especially against teams that will pressure. CJ is OK handling the ball in the half court and running the offense, but you need help and we just don't have much in the way of ball handling. Its only been 3 games, but his shooting looks like its going to be inconsistent again.

It will be interesting to see how we grow as a team the rest of the season. The competition starts to pick up next week.

We're certainly not playing BiG level competition right now but I personally think Texas Southern goes dancing after they wipe out their conference. That was a good win last night for a really young team. Get better each game and take your lumps early, and this team might actually surprise later on.

Yea Texas Southern isnt "top notch" competition, they are at least consistently the best team in their conference over the past few years though. Not that the SWAC is much or anything. But it was good to see this team respond well when Texas Southern was able to cut it to 2 with 7 minutes left, pull it together and end up winning by 18. Last year and the year before teams probably fold like a lawn chair at that point where they let them almost even later in the game.

If Jallow ever finds a consistent jump shot, he will be a star in his career here, IMO. At worst I get the vibe that he will be a David Lighty type. Though it's only 3 games in against meh competition, he just brings energy to the floor and seems finds way to get things done when they opportunities present themselves. Finding that consistent shot will take him from a good to a potential star player.
