2017-2018 B1G Men's Basketball (Official Thread)

Crazy to think a team could go 22-9 and 13-5 in the B1G and not make the tournament

Well we will be rooting for them since they will likely play Michigan in the quarters.

Problem is despite all those wins the Big Ten just so down this year and they only got 1 shot at the 4 teams that are actually making the tournament and lost 3 of the 4.

Only 1 quad 1 win (home vs Michigan)

Only 2 quad 2 wins (home vs Maryland and Neutral vs UCF)

So they have only 1 win vs a team that will actually make it in the NCAA tournament.

Their AVG RPI win is 182 (before Penn State assumed win) this is not good.

Just not enough meat on that bone right now. I think they need to make the Big Ten Finals to have a shot. Just my take.

Had they just beat Kansas that 1 point loss looms large.

Go Northwestern and if they can't get it done on Thursday then Ohio State can exact some revenge on the only team in the Big Ten they have yet to beat this year.
At least we would have the benefit of one week off and them playing the day before this time. Also I don't know the status of Mike Watkins injury. They didn't look very good against Nebraska today.

I would rather miss the game and Ohio State be the #1 seed but at least as the #2 seed the game starts on Friday after I get home from work. Every year I take off work on the Wed-Friday before the NCAA selection Sunday to watch all the conference tournament games.

With the win today I think Corn is in, it's (unless they win the B1G Tournament) Ped State (at 19-12, 9-9) who will be watching the NCAA tournament on TV.

Ped's out, for sure, absent a BTT champ. Not sure I agree on Nebby--they're 61 in the RPI. At a minimum, they need to beat scUM on Friday (assuming scUM beats Illinois, and let's be honest, it'd be great if that didn't happen).
