11-13 at FT's at one point...they finish 15-24. Wesson, for all of his hustle, shot 0-3. Give me a break...I thought players liked stat-stuffing? Do Ohio State players not realize that FT's are points?

EDIT: I just looked it up, Tate is shooting 105-205 on his career from the free throw line. He's a 6'4" big-program player.

...and, I'll just come out and say it. This team is poorly coached. Against an overmatched West Carolina, you have to get some confidence rolling with Potter and CJ. Give them a 5-minute stretch where they have some designed plays and shots. Micah is 6-9 and can shoot three's as well as Lyle. Why did he not get 5 attempts this game? Why didn't Bell get some run, with KBD out? Just poor vision overall from Matta and the guys.

I know western carolina sucks but we beat them like they do and we didn't play all that great. defense was much improved. rotations seemed quicker too. As far as individuals...

I actually thought Potter had a couple nice passes and rebounds.
Really liked what Wesson brought on the floor (make a damn FT please).
Jackson cant shoot AT ALL so far so thats disconcerting.
Love Tate's footwork on the block. fantastic. (make your FT's dammit)
Lyle again balled out and I think hes starting to gain some momentum. Losing the weight seems to make him a little quicker.
Loving, ugh.
Thompson has been playing very well of the bench. makes his FT and hustles on defense.
Kam has such a nice 3 pt shot. love that kid.
Hope KBD gets healthy soon.

KBD can probably sit the rest of this week and heal up, get him hopefully healthy for the Virginia game on the 30th

Jackson State shouldn't be a problem

Marshall is 4-0 going into that game Friday, not sure how "good" they actually are though, their wins are against NC Central, Morehead State, West Carolina and Jackson State.

true, but Marshall beat all those teams by double digits (well, close, 85-77 against Morehead St). they beat West Carolina 98-63, better than our margin. they handled NC Central better than we did, too (81-69).

it's going to be Marshall's first away game so I expect OSU to pull it out but based on what we have to go on, we seem fairly even with them, sadly enough.

but with our game against Providence and us opening on the road, I think we've been slightly more tested than they have so far.

we SHOULD have better talent but if KBD's not fully ready and if Loving keeps playing the way he has, eh, not so much.

I guess we will see, A loss to Marshall would certainly be disappointing. They need to hopefully get out of non-con 11-2 with the only losses coming to UVA and UCLA, though it would be really nice to win one of those.
