To keep Thompson motivated is my guess although Potter's made a couple of nice plays.

Sloppy start the first few minutes, picking it up though. Nice to see them actually attacking the rim against a team they should be able to do it against at will.

Loving still getting major minutes after how bad he's been is mystifying, does Matta just have zero confidence in anyone else? Playing the senior loyalty card?
WCU looks the part of the awful team they appear to be on paper, yet miscues and poor FT shooting are keeping them "in it" so far.

loving gets abused on the drive for an easy 2 then has the ball stolen from him on offense before standing around watching others battle for the ball on the ensuing defensive possession.

Might be bashing, but it's impossible not to say it...Loving is a terrible basketball player. It's mystifying that he gets major minutes at a D1 program.

amir williams was bashed for being soft, which he was, but he at least tried. he hustled. he showed emotion. loving? he plays like hustling is beneath him.
