2015-16 Ohio State Quarterback Discussion

Ohio State since 02 has had maybe 3 years in which they didn't have solid quarterbacking in play: 04, 07, 11.

2002-03: Krenzel (NC & 2 BCS wins)
2004: muddy waters early with a mix of Smith vs Zwick
2005-06: Smith (Heisman)
07: Boeckman (effecient enough to get us to the NC)
08-10: Pryor (could have been a legend)
11: Bauseran & Miller mix
12-13: Miller (B1G POY x2)
14: Barrett & Jones (one got OSU back to #6 and won the division, the other won the conference and the NC).

We have been very blessed to have great talent at the QB position for over 12 years!

I think he should play Defensive Tackle next year.

I enjoy Cardale's arm strength. Its exciting to throw a 50 yard TD. However, those balls honestly were up for grabs. Our receivers stepped up big time. Vs. Wisky Cardale threw a pass 5-6 feet over Michael Thomas's head on a Quick Curl. Michael Thomas Jumped up and snatched that in the air where most WRs actually drop that pass or let it go through their hands for a pick. Those touchdowns to Devin Smith, Devin Smith was a boss and made amazing plays on the balls to give us the touchdowns.

Vs. Oregon, the roll out deepball to Devin. Should have been picked but again Devin Smith made the play on the ball.

Recievers stepped up big time, Oline stepped up big time. Zeke stepped up big time. Everyone was playing their best football these last couple of weeks which allowed us to win the National Championship. Who can you honestly say on our team played poorly? We are losing a first round WR this year, the best deep ball receiver in the game. With Dontre and Johnnie going to be healthy come 2015. How can we not utilize the quick passing game and option running plays? JT gives us the best possibility in this because he makes quick reads in both the pass and run game and also has touch when we go deep.

Really pretty impressive considering that we often struggled at that position. Hoying and Germaine were good and a few interspersed before then, but QB was often an adventure at tOSU.

Also to be considered: The 4th QB that was redshirted and the 2 QB's coming into the mix with the upcoming class. Things are looking very good for THE Ohio State Football Buckeyes. Can you say potential Dynasty in the making?
GO BUCKS!!!

That's absolutely ridiculous. JT will be the starting QB, Cardale with be the starting TE, and Braxton will be the staring H-back. Then they can rotate depending on which QB is best to run the play. Read option = Braxton, Deep ball/sneak = Cardale, everything else = JT. :p

You may be joking but I seriously had someone at the gym tell me that's a serious idea that he had. I could only stare at him blankly...
