I think we are so talented everywhere, that it doesn't matter. Braxton played like a stud in many many games. JT played like a stud in most games this season. Cardale played like a stud in one, big, big game. So they all have the potential. We know exactly what we get with Braxton. We have a great idea what we get with JT, and we still can't be sure how Cardale would handle a season.
If JT or Braxton aren't 100% in spring, and Cardale is the real deal...he may very well take the reigns. And if he ends up being Sugar Bowl and/or NCG MVP...then I find it very very hard to not start him.
Herman and Urban will get to have a feel how the offense responds to each of these guys in the spring...and I think in the end one of them will emerge as the guy the offense responds best to. The most important thing is to not develop a rift within the program of those who want one guy over the other. In the end, we are so less informed than the coaches, that the decision that is made will come from so much more information than we have.
I do think that Braxton, if not the starter, will have a package, similar to the wildcat for JM, that we will use in certain situations.
One thing I worry about Cardale's situation is that going into the Wisconsin game, the team felt like they all had to step up for Cardale because he was new. Now that he's not new, how will that progress. We would all hope the fire will still be there, but what happens when we need the fire to come from Cardale. Can he be the guy that picks up everyone else's slack when the time comes? I sure hope so...but as of now it's an unknown. Plus there is no way everything will be as easy against Alabama...so will be interesting to see how he plays in the 4th when the game is on the line. That's one thing we saw from JT against PSU...he can take a team on his shoulders. We saw this from Braxton many times, too. Wisconsin 2012 and 2013 come to mind, amoung others.
