2015-16 Ohio State Quarterback Discussion

Last we saw Cardale he had regressed from last years playoff brilliance and was missing wide open receivers when teams were caught cheating to stop Zeke (and struggling to properly identify when teams were doing that more often than not).

Unless he has really gotten it back together in practice the past few weeks Minny can cover better than anyone Cardale has started against this year. There will not be many wide open receivers and the run will get taken away. I am legitimately concerned about how the offense will perform unless Braxton is getting the snaps.

This is a bad match up for CJ.
My thoughts as well... I bet we see a TON of Braxton at QB for this very reason. I'd put techs corners up there with Minnesots though and CJ did so so in that game.

How do people think the starting QB position should be treated after the Minnesota game? If cardale struggles, I think you straight up go with JT. But if Cardale has a great game, I wouldn't be shocked to see Cardale start vs Illinois and JT go back to the redzone QB. Then either stay there if Cardale performs well against Illinois or go to JT full time starting with MSU if Cardale struggles vs Illinois and JT looks good.
Does Art Schleister have any eligibility left?

I think the "discussion" is over. This team needs JT Barrett at quarterback.

I think its obvious to everyone at this point.

But I'm just about done with the people who take shots a Cardale every chance they get. He's a square peg in a round hole offense. This has nothing to do with his talent.

Not pointing a finger at you @Jake. Just a general comment.

This is a kind sentiment, but I don't think it's entirely true. He's holding on to the ball to long, which indicates he's having trouble reading the defense, and he has accuracy issues. None of these issues have anything to do with the type of offense being run. These are very basic QB skills.

Wish it were different, but it ain't. Still rooting for the guy to turn the corner though, but I don't have much hope.

Sure it does. Put him under center and do traditional 3 and 5 step drops and Cardale is in his wheelhouse.
