2015-16 Ohio State Quarterback Discussion

I think we are getting close to this point now:

No, keep going. I'm a bit low on glue here in my office.

I feel that CJ is more a victim of the circumstances this year. The big play WR graduated and now we have one big WR and a bunch of converted RB's and QB's playing WR. The OC that knew how to get the most out of CJ is gone. In a different time with different pieces around him I think CJ is the better QB and I'm pretty sure this will be seen in the NFL. For this team with these players and coaches JT gives the team a better chance to win.

This isn't saying CJ is a bad player, just that he isn't the best option for the 2015 tOSU football team. The best thing for him might be to be a 3rd or 4th round pick in the draft so he might have the chance to go to a team where he can learn from an established QB for a couple years without the 1st round pick tag hanging over him.

This week will be the first time I'll be surprised if CJ is the starting QB.

oh the irony in that this is the week, with an opponent who doesn't rush the passer well and gives up scads of passing yards, that Cardale could have had his best chance.
What's it say that his "best chance" would have to come against a defense that presents no challenge to him?

That being said, I doubt he won't play at all. He's gonna get in there for a few series at least.

He's clearly regressed. No arguing that, he missed some wide ass open receivers.

I was just noting the irony of the situation.

Playing devils advocate, maybe this pass D would spark the confidence. Who knows?

It's not like the kid isn't capable. He just hasn't gotten it done for some reason this year.

Difference is you are being pretty soft if the word "sucks" really offends you to the point of crying on a message board,

Cardale, JT and every walk-on on the team has done more this morning for the Ohio State football program than any of the "fans" taking to the message boards to write, or shouting in the stadium, that players suck. They deserve more from the OSU fan base. Show a little class.

Perhaps it is being soft, but we have always been very delicate in word choice around here when criticizing Buckeyes. In my IMO, the criticism wasn't unfair and I think everyone he agrees his play could be a lot better -- definitely the terminology more than the sentiment that is the problem.

(Fake Buckeyes don't count, you fork-tongued, frosty-tipped, douchecanoe so just go ahead and stay down there in Tennessee, okay?)

I wouldn't mind us erring back on that side. I don't read game threads anymore because of some of the idiotic comments I've seen made in them about the players.
