2015-16 Ohio State Quarterback Discussion

Saw the same tweet, and came to see if others were of the same mindset. This could very well pertain to a number of things, but the QB battle seems to be the leading factor (maybe).

He could mean that he's getting the starting nod and curious to see who's in his corner for support, or JT is getting the start and he's a bit emotional and wonder who will still support him. Sorry but his tweets are held to a different standard than the others.
I took the latter interpretation, but could go either way.

That's exactly the conclusion I came to. Leaning more towards the first option about him being curious who's in his corner.

With majority of the crowd chanting "JT" in last week's game, it will be curious to see fan reaction if Jones does trot out for the start next week. I know much of social media has leaned in favor of JT.

This cryptic tweet is begging for attention in all the wrong manner.

Well it didn't hurt that Oregon was terrified of Devin. The cornerback cushions and the depth of their safeties were just comical, they were so afraid of getting beat deep that they pretty much let us do everything else. Meanwhile Indiana puts their safeties 8 yards from the line of scrimmage, that's just insulting!

I really really disagree with this, and have as soon as people were joyous about Cardale's deep ball last year. Oregon always cushions their DB's. You can watch all their games last year and see how deep their safeties were and how far off the receiver the Corners were. And Alabama actually played up tight with theirs.

"Majority?" I'm pretty sure it wasn't the case that 54,000+ people were chanting "JT."

Curious? Likely a disappointing display from a few loudmouths. And you forgot to put the word "fan" in quotes.

I know much of social media has leaned in favor of JT.

Well, then, if much of social media is in favor of something...

Enough of the crowd for it to be picked up by the cameras. I would say that's a damn good amount. Not sute if you watched the game. Just because you put up a few laughing emoji's doesn't make your opinion correct as much as it does annoying and childish.

As for fan reaction, everyone has their own ways. I hate to break it to ya bud, but you arent the guy that decides who an actual fan is. Then again you are the guy crying because someone says Cardale's performance sucked. Guess what, this is adulthood buttercup - things are no longer "bad," they sometime suck.

Actually, I was at the game. The notion that a majority of the crowd was chanting "JT" is, quite simply, absurd. But, by all means, please tell us more about the ridiculous conclusions you've made by watching the television broadcast.

Not crying at all. I'm just mature enough, bud, to be able to take a step back and realize this is college football and that, no matter what I think of a college kid's on-the-field performance, it would be laughable (and sad) if I felt the need to take to message boards, or shout in the stadium, that the college kid "sucks." That goes for "fans" saying any OSU player "sucks," whether it be Cardale, JT, or a walk-on. Grow up, buttercup.

From the first row of C Deck on the Press Box side, it sounded like the entire stadium was chanting "JT". I wasn't chanting it myself, but it was overwhelming.

Being at the game in person really surprised me just how negative the crowd is this year. People all around me were railing on Cardale from the first snap and didn't finish until the end of the game.

My brother was at the game. He said that the majority of fans in sections around him were chanting JT, no one near him was saying bad things towards Cardale, just that he seems too indecisive. I tend to agree with the latter comment.

Different places produce different sounds. But on the Jump Pass TD to Braxton, "JT" was being chanted a LOT and in my section it was a definitive majority.

Regardless of whether it was a technical majority, it was loud and it was unmistakable.

buckeyein07, you can put words in my mouth all you want, I said Cardale "sucked that day", which he did. I apologize if it hurt your sensitive feelings. You suggested college football isn't for me, well I actually played D1 so I am going to suggest college football might not be for you if that "offends" you. You probably didn't even play high school ball if that hurts your feelings because when Urban and the staff thinks you didn't preform well, which EVERYTHING is evaluated as a competition, then you get to eat hotdogs instead of steak because you "sucked that day". And guess what, every player that has ever played this game as sucked on one day or another, that's how it goes, everyone fumbles, misses blocks, misses tackles, drops passes, misses open receivers, jumps offsides, get burnt deep, gets a hold penalty that negates a TD, muffs a punt, misses a extra point, and they all would fall under the "sucked that day" category.

Saying a guy "sucked that day" does not equate to "Cardale sucks". Sorry, but that is a stretch. Cardale would tell you he sucked on those deep throws. Would that hurt your feelings too?

All other accounts seem to differ from your minimalistic attitude of how many were chanting for JT.

As for jones, if he can't (or better yet you cant) take hearing his performance sucks as a 22 year old, you and him are really going to be sad next year when he has negative reviews in training camp. College is preparation for life that won't hit you with kiddie gloves. Hell. My 18 year old Loadmasters can be told they suck and no one sheds a tear. Time to toughen up.
