All other accounts seem to differ from your minimalistic attitude of how many were chanting for JT.

"All" other accounts? There again with the lazy word choice.

As for jones, if he can't (or better yet you cant) take hearing his performance sucks as a 22 year old, you and him are really going to be sad next year when he has negative reviews in training camp. College is preparation for life that won't hit you with kiddie gloves. Hell. My 18 year old Loadmasters can be told they suck and no one sheds a tear. Time to toughen up.

To be clear, I'm guessing here, but my guess is that Jones really couldn't care less about what some has-beens or never-weres think about his performance. Beyond that, I'm quite confident Urban and the program is preparing the members of the team quite well in life; the notion that has-beens and never weres should be think they are part of that process is ridiculous (and, again, sad). I had thought the OSU fan base was better than that; clearly, I was wrong.

Everytime I read your posts I just get a little bit more pissed off

Oddly enough I have actually thought about this myself with how steadfastly he defends CJ. In all honesty I dont necessarily care who starts at QB for OSU as long as the offense moves, TD's are scored and we win. Right now this is what JT has shown he can do over the last 2 games. This is why I am such a big JT backer. CJ very well may be able to get back to performing extremely well but his performance this year hasnt been nearly what was expected out of him. I wonder if the playbook is just too complicated for him this year? I remember last year they said that they were going to only use part of the play book so he would be comfortable. If CJ is QB, maybe they should do that this year.

I'm with you. Do I feel JT gives us a better chance to score? Absolutely. Do I care if CJ is the QB? Absolutely not. I want what is best for the team and for our offense to move the ball and score. It just seems that guy is JT

Being at the game in person really surprised me just how negative the crowd is this year. People all around me were railing on Cardale from the first snap and didn't finish until the end of the game.

To whom much is given, much is expected.

The negativity is certainly there - I was at the Western Michigan game and was well aware of a current that ran through the crowd, a lack of patience and an exaggerated sense of entitlement to stellar performances from this team.

Do you even bother reading my posts? I've said from the beginning that Jones has struggled at times this year, and that JT (rightly) has been given the opportunity to win the job. Unfortunately, he hasn't done so. Urban has said he hasn't done so. The JT fanboys around here are convinced they know more than Urban, evidently, and are nevertheless willing to look past JT's on-the-field performance this year.

And I've also said this before--Jones struggled again against PSU. So I could understand Urban naming JT the starter. If he does so, I hope JT takes advantage of it this time and has a good passing performance. Then the team can put all of this QB controversy to bed.

How is any of that consistent with "steadfastly" defending CJ?

JT hadn't won the starting job up until (potentially) his performance against Penn State. I guess we will find out this Saturday.

Give me stats man... give me some stats why CJ should be leading this offense. You have seen us back things up with statistical data that supports our favor of JT.

You cant throw out the undefeated record as a trump cardo either. JT has 1 loss and CJ has 0 but you put CJ against va tech last year and he'd more than likely have a loss as well.

Just look at the numbers to make a choice. IMO ur blind to the fact that JT has trumped CJ in basically every way.

Higher completion percentage, more passing yards, more rushing yards, less turnovers, starting faster, red zone percentage, total touchdown, just as many wins, overall touchdowns, he can run when needed, big ten player of the year and oh yeah for good measure A TEAM CAPTAIN. I love what CJ has done and going through the off season and camp you'll see if you go back that I did hope CJ won out. However, something hasn't looked right with CJ even against tech so I opened my mind to the stats and stats just don't lie.

For the record I consider this fun buckeyesin07. Either way we will be fine as our record indicates

I think his point is that he doesn't need stats, that's Urban Meyer's job and Urban Meyer has decided up to this point that Cardale is the starter.

That might change this week, but to anyone arguing it's been obvious since the beginning of the year, or even earlier than this week, Urban Meyer disagrees and he probably knows more about it than you do.

...says the guy who calls people "buttercup" and defends someone saying Cardale "sucked." Pot, meet kettle.

Difference is you are being pretty soft if the word "sucks" really offends you to the point of crying on a message board, whereas calling people washed up is just being a dick.

I don't care who starts and who doesn't, as long as we win. I'll praise either one for their great performances and be honest when they suck. We make fun of Joe B all of the time, what's the difference here?
