2014 TSUN Football News

Did not want to post this in one of the more humorous threads regarding michigan.

Sad story..
Football death is 3rd in recent days

LWOOD, N.Y. -- A high school football player has died after he collided with an opponent and collapsed during a game on Long Island, becoming the third high school football player to die in recent days.

Authorities say Tom Cutinella, a player for Shoreham-Wading River High School, died Wednesday night at a hospital after suffering a head injury during a game with John Glenn High School in Elwood earlier that day.

For those that don't click on espin...the reason I posted it in this thread is because the video posted with the story shows the hit on Morris as they discuss the dangers of head injuries.

My prayers go out to his family.

Right now, so do the actual UM fans.
Please pray for me as I am in the belly of the beast. I will here in AA to conduct MBA interviews and am really thinking of asking this question.

You are the head of a major university whose athletic department is in shambles particularly the football program. You have had your ass handed to you by your biggest rivals and have seen your arrogance and false bravado put you on a course of irrelevance. What do you do to change the course of your program?

A) Double down and expand the training table buffet to include shellfish
B) Call the CEO of Arby's for advice and counsel
C) Form a search committee and give preferential treatment to candidates with the initials JH
D) Immediately upgrade your schedule by scheduling future home games with App State, Charleston Southern and the Ohio School of the Blind (night game)
E) Bring Bill "YMSOB" Martin out of retirement to run the department
F) All of the above

Here's a question I recently asked in an interview. You have to save it to the end and it only works with people who have had a real job before...

This is a two part question: Describe the worst day that you've ever had on your job. What did you do after to develop processes to make sure it never happened again?

Part one tells you what their tolerance for pain will be. Part two tells you how they deconstruct the problem and create ways to identify leading indicators to anticipate issues. Do it at the end of the interview to see how they react under pressure as they have to succinctly describe a problem and then describe how they would prevent it.

Rich Rod with another great win last night at (!) Oregon. Funny that idiot Michigan fans were rejoicing when they ran him out of town. Just another sign of brilliance from the dumbest fan base in college football.
I gotta put an end to the revisionist history I'm seeing a lot this morning. Rich Rodriguez was never going to work at Michigan. He was terrible from the start, and only got worse. Not worse record....just worse at being the coach of Michigan. Hoke, for as much of a cluster fuck that hire has become, was a HUGE upgrade over RR. It's not even close.

Would have been interesting to see what he could have done with one more season and a better defensive coordinator. But we don't deal in hypotheticals at Michigan.

Jim Tressel is on line 1 for you. Thinks RichRod was the best coach TSUN has had in its history.

RichRod's win last night was more impressive than anything the Michigan football team has done in 20 years.
I disagree.
