Mark Emmert is commending UGA on how it's handle the Gurley situation.
“From the facts that we know today, publicly, Georgia’s behavior has been commendable,” Emmert said in an interview with the Associated Press Monday. “They, apparently, saw something that concerned them, and they dealt with it directly and their athletic department seems to have handled that very, very appropriately based on what we know today.”
Yeah well that's very nice of you to say - but hows about letting my boy Gurley on the field on Saturday!

Seems to me he got off pretty lightly--only 4 games for over $3,000? Wasn't Posey suspended for an additional 5 games in '10 for being overpaid approx. $700?

As most of you know, I'm normally the anti-homer, but I have to agree here. I don't necessarily have a problem with the lighter sentences, but TP and Posey were really hung out to dry.
I really think TP got the shaft. Posey, seems maybe his got more severe because of a second violation after the first? Am I remembering that correctly? Anyway, seems like the punishment is far less severe now and TP could really have used the extra year here...
