With it being so close to National Signing day, I thought it best to start the 2014 SEC Football Discussion thread.

Awesome interactive map showing where the SEC schools signed their recruits on NSD.
From an Ohio standpoint - the only schools that came into the Buckeye state and had any kind of success were Alabama (1 Player) Tennessee (2 players) and Kentucky (6 players - most from Cincinnati).

Not an SEC specific article but from an SEC Blog - so I'll post it here.
A list of all 5-Star Defensive Ends dating back to 2004 and how they panned out. Where did they sign and did they/have they lived up to the hype?

5 Star Defensive Back Josh Harvey-Clemmons dismissed from the team.

JHC was already scheduled to miss the first three games of the season for a 2nd positive drug test.
The dismissal was a decision based on a third positive test.


No details yet - but it's highly likely he'll have a full scholarship in hand from Auburn by close of business Thursday.

The plaintiff, a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity at Ole Miss, is seeking two million dollars in damages ...

The Ole Miss athletic department issued a statement to Fox Sports about the suit, stating:

"When this alleged incident occurred, the proper authorities investigated the matter and could find no evidence of wrong-doing related to Denzel and Robert Nkemdiche or any other members of our football program. This is a personal matter for them and we will support Denzel and Robert while they defend themselves in this civil case."

Couple of Greek crackas coming down on the Nkemdiches, probably for (allegedly) hitting on some white womens. Nothing to see here, except it can't help Hugh Freeze's recruiting efforts.

But with ole miss being the equivalent to Indiana other iowa in the sec, hurting recruiting could be a huge hit to what freeze has done
