2014 SEC Discussion and Division Races

If I'm going to have any type of credibility around here as an "SEC SEC SEC" guy - I have to throw cold water on my beloved conference every once in awhile.

Yes it's from bleacher report but it's fairly well researched.

Based on Pre-Season rankings, the SEC has the easiest 2014 OOC schedule of any of the major conferences.
In fact, only UGA has more than once BCS opponent on the schedule (Clemson, Tech) in 2014 /humblebrag

From the article:

Six SEC teams don't play any OOC games on the road at all, with Alabama (vs. West Virginia in Atlanta), Ole Miss (vs. Boise State in Atlanta) and LSU (vs. Wisconsin in Houston) playing virtual home games masquerading as "neutral site" showdowns.

Nevertheless, our SEC guru Barrett Sallee believes that the days of nine-game conference schedule are near. But even if that's the case, don't expect the SEC to make things even tougher by boosting its non-conference schedules.

Why do SEC teams fans root for each other? I've never understood that so just wondering.

Per the PAC teams, I want them all to lose every OOC and Bowl Game they all ever play in so I can laugh at them.

Southern inferiority complex.
Yea, its something. I honestly don't understand it.

I can't ever imagine rooting for UCLA. Even if it would help us I want to think I would try to root for them but I don't know if I could, that would be the only way I would. I like it when a PAC team loses a Bowl Game or OOC game. I don't know when it started but it was sometime around 2006-2008 or so that I first heard it.

That's akin to tOSU rooting for TLUN which would never happen and make the rivalry not a big deal.

Has anyone heard why they do it?

You must be new.
There is a search option so you can find volumes upon volumes of threads about it.

You summarize your findings and I'll be over here double dipping in university funds...

Kinda cool. CMR has been nominated to sit on the NCAA Rules Committee as the SEC representative.

You don't think Lane Kiffin would be a better representative?

Who in the SEC knows more about NCAA violations/sanctions/penalties than Kiffin?

I'm in the minority, but I don't root for other SEC schools.
when two SEC teams play each other, I root for the outcome that most benefits LSU.
I root only for the outcome, not for either team.
the other 11 teams in this conference can all kiss my ass.
