2013 SEC Discussion and Division Races

Good lord....is every SEC team playing 2 1AA teams? And holy shit could the league office make it any more obvious they're making Bama's schedule as easy as they possibly can? I realize our schedule is a shit show, but that doesn't mean I can't still point out the "pure coincidence" of having bye weeks before your 2 hardest games.

Meanwhile in B1G country, their best shot for a NC has to play 4 teams in a row who are just coming off their bye weeks. And our byes are before Iowa and Illinois.

If I was an LSU fan, I'd be pretty [censored]ed.
9 straight weeks before a bye week with games against TCU, Auburn (heh), Georgia and Florida.

Was just listening to Les Miles talking about his schedule. He seems glad to begin the season with a real challenge. Talked about staying "up" for games and how that's good for a team.

He went on to reference a certain Buckeye team that had a lot of tough games they won and how that prepared them to play a Miami team and how "they beat 'em up".

as a fan, I prefer playing somebody to open the season.

in 2011, we opened with Oregon. We showed up ready for that game, and it rolled from there.

in most years when we play crap teams, we half ass it, and never seem to kick in gear as a team until our backs are against a wall. sometimes that's too late.

Damn. Haven't even begun the 2013 Season and 2014 Schedules are out and released.

http://www.secdigitalnetwork.com/NE...leases-2014-conference-football-schedule.aspx

Couple of observations:

GEORGIA

Sept. 13 - at South Carolina
Sept. 27 - TENNESSEE
Oct. 4 - VANDERBILT
Oct. 11 - at Missouri
Oct. 18 - at Arkansas
Nov. 1 - vs. Florida (Jacksonville)
Nov. 8 - at Kentucky
Nov. 15 - AUBURN

This is cream cheese soft. But we get a bye before Florida and South Carolina.

FLORIDA

Sept. 13 - KENTUCKY
Sept. 20 - at Alabama
Oct. 4 - at Tennessee
Oct. 11 - LSU
Oct. 18 - MISSOURI
Nov. 1 - vs. Georgia (Jacksonville)
Nov. 8 - at Vanderbilt
Nov. 15 - SOUTH CAROLINA

Gators get Bama, LSU, South Carolina, Georgia and (not listed) Florida State. HAVE FUN GUYS!

AUBURN

Aug. 30 - ARKANSAS
Oct. 4 - LSU
Oct. 11 - at Mississippi State
Oct. 25 - SOUTH CAROLINA
Nov. 1 - at Ole Miss
Nov. 8 - TEXAS A&M
Nov. 15 - at Georgia
Nov. 29 - at Alabama

I see maybe two conference wins for Auburn next year. Yikes.

Bama misses UGA and/or Sakerlina again...shocking. :shake:

Is he referring to TCU as a real challenge? I think the idea behind putting TCU at #20 in preseason rankings was so that they could elevate LSU's schedule by 'beating an out of conference ranked team.' I'm surprised they didn't rank VaTech or even Toledo in the preseason top 25.
