2013 Preseason and regular polls

Oregon is better than Stanford on both sides of the ball.
Free Shoes is going to house the hell outta Miami. Skin of the teeth only lasts so long.

IMO, if any of the three teams in front of the Buckeyes lose, then it will be unexpected instead of "big game" like.
I agree. Unfortunately.

Not going to happen, but those are my rooting interests for the week.

Why I hate CCGs: So imagine that Alabama goes undefeated only to lose to a one loss Missouri, or a two loss SC, in the CCG. Add an undefeated Oregon losing to a two loss UCLA in their CCG. Imagine an undefeated FSU losing to God knows who in the ACC CCG and then OSU stumbles against MSU in Indy. Granted that all of them happening would probably lead to congressional investigations, but the SEC game would lead to riots, looting, tree poisoning, autograph signing, gnashing of teeth and screaming of blood oaths to put an SEC team in the NCG.

Then just for speculative fun, shits and grins, imagine if ND should manage to beat Stanford and end the season 10 and 2, they'd begin demanding a seat at the BCS's #2 game.

The BCS is professional wrestling and they can keep their damn trophy. 2006 and last year mean as much to me as 2002. The BCS is the biggest joke in sport..more contrived than the PGA playoff. All about the $ than identifying the best team in college football. When there is a 8 or 16 team playoff I will get excited.

Is there a more overrated team in the country than Texa$ AM? They have played 2 ranked teams and lost them both. They have the 97th ranked D in the country and yet they are ranked #12? I have seen a lot of horseshit SEC bias but this one is the worst I have seen in some time. That is an absolute joke.

All I know is I like where OSU sits.

Easiest road to going undefeated and no one coming from behind. Yes it sucks we don't control our own destiny but the odds of getting a loss from 2 of the 3 ahead of us are pretty solid.

I'll like this even more when the playoff format starts.

Other than Baylor, how many SEC are still in the poll?

six - 'bama, Missouri, Auburn, LSU, TAMU, South Carolina

But looking at the "receiving votes", and I bet Ole Miss and Georgia will be ranked again in the near future. Ole Miss should beat everyone left except Missouri, and they'll get a free pass if they lose that game. Georgia still has games against Auburn, and mediocre Florida and GTech... but the voters want them back bad, and the "injury" narrative is dominant in the media. Even though it was Aaron Murray's ineptitude.

Minnesota playing spoiler is kind of tripping the BigTen up. Nebraska drops out, MSU comes in... but only just in time for the loser of next week's game in East Lansing to drop out. Ah well, at least Wisconsin finally makes an appearance. I really hope Wiscy goes to the Capital One against some shit like TAMU ... they'd have a field day running up and down the field, and picking off Johnny Football til he pretends his shoulder is hurt again. I'm already imagining replays of Calhoun battering the shit out of Auburn.

Agree 100%

Im so glad that the BCS Show is aired every Sunday night. I really hope that Hyde, Miller, Shazier, Spence, and Roby are all watching it too.

For them to bust their ass on Saturday, then wake up the next day and still be discounted to Oregon, FSU, and Alabama - Im sure that has to burn. The team has worked hard all season long to keep winning and watch themselves fall from a solid #2 spot. They watched a #12 FSU come up and overtake them without looking back. No way does this kind of thing sit well inside of an Alpha type player - the type of player the Buckeyes are full of.

I said it a week in advance PSU and Im going to say it in regards to Purdue; I feel bad for the Boilermakers. The Bucks know they can't afford to hang anything less than 50 on those chumps in a fashionable way.
