2012 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

We could probably fit 6 more.
That would mean we need 4 more subtractions whether it be decommits, transfers or medical hardships, no?

With Hagan we are at 59 (Berry was off that list however)

We are at 22 commits & can go no higher then 82

I am just trying to figure out where the other 4 spots come into play from.

For what it's worth just started talking midwest on this thing.

Comment From Dylan Dylan : ] Will Ohio State rake in any more top prospects by the end of NSD, and where do you expect them to rank when its its all said and done?

Jared Shanker:
I think it's a given that Ohio State is not done. Tackle is a big need for them and they are hoping to switch Kyle Dodson from Wisconsin and get a commitment from Jordan Diamond on Feb. 3 when he announces. They also hosted new five-star Davonte Neal recently. I don't think he lands in Columbus, but we all know to never count out Urban Meyer.

There could be a few current commits going to fork union or JC as well. There are many things that can happen.

Folks are getting too hung up on the 82 number at this point in the process. That is not an issue until next fall.

We can get to that even if we have to shoot a kid or two (for the greater good of course).

How likely is it that one or two of the current signees decommit? There are several positions (OL and LB) that Meyer has hit hard and some of the early recruits at those position have to be second-guessing their commitment. I personally would be shopping around if I was facing the possibility of competing with so many individuals from my own recruiting class for the duration of my time on campus and I certainly wouldn't blame some of the early commitments if they felt the need to look around for alternative schools that offered better prospects for playing time.

None. They stuck by OSU during the scandal because they truly wanted to be Buckeyes. Urban honored their commitment when he came on board. Anyone who was going to decommit would have done it by now.

Grades would be the only concern and it sounds like everyone is okay.

Great news to hear. These guys are the core of the class. They held their commitment when things were toughest.
