2012 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Cradale is alot taller and bigger than Leak. Cardale is closer to Pryor than he is Braxton. Cradale is Big and can move. IIRC he is 6'4 and around 230. He tore it up in the B33 game...looked like a man amongst boys.
Here's one person hoping he's a blend of TP and Braxton. TP's size, but Braxton's tenacity. That would be quite a combo.

Was in C'bus for T'day, and met up with someone who used to be in Complaince Dept at OSU.....said the 'negotiations' are on who's to be left on staff when Meyer takes over. Said I thought that Fickell (w/ contract), and the WR coach from Florida, and hoped LB coach would stay....she just smiled....said it's 100% that Urban was in.

Sooooo, would expect to see some of the 5*s line up, and some of the 3*'s 'go away'. If some of the veterans transfer (at least 4 as I see it), there's enough for a darn good first year recruiting. No mention of Peterson (OSU recruiting director) staying, nor the strenght coach or speed coach......but at this late date, would expect some of the incumbents to stick around......that's all I"ve got.....

OSU played better than expected, as Herbie called it. Brother texted with updates as we left LA basin over Grapevine....they can keep their heads held high, as can Coach Fickell, and the rest of the staff.

:gobucks3::gobucks4::banger: Hate to say it, but the B10 NEEDS a strong Michigan.

I disagree. The B1G needs a couple of programs with national appeal to be strong coupled with some solid teams that don't crap the bed when on a national stage. If the former happen to be Ohio State & Nebraska while the latter are Wisconsin and Sparty (or Iowa) then the B1G will be just fine.

I'd be shocked if anyone transfered out, from what I can tell people love playing for Urban. It'll be very interesting to see how Urban can recruit here...

There's almost always attrition, whether a staff says or a new one comes. Kids want PT and taking a look at the depth chart gets some going, some won't fit into the system and they'll get the drift. I could think of one talented QB who might look elsewhere, not based on any information but just based on the circumstances.

I could give a shit about Michigan or the B10...I'm a Buckeye fan...Michigan winning does exactly what for us?

I have heard Urban comes in and gets after the players but they ultimately play very hard for him. You add in Fickell possibly still being there as wel and I doubt players leave because they dislike him or how he runs thing. Maybe because they don't fit the system though? Someone like a Rod Smith or perhaps a reciever or so like Chris Fields.

I really think next year as far as WR's go it's going to be a youth movement outside of Brown. I think Spencer, Smith, and maybe even one of the new recruits come in and do well. One person who will benefit a ton from Urban is Stoney, because we now how much Urban liked getting the ball to Hernandez.

I was actually quite happy to see scUM become a lower tier program during the Rich Rod years and loved our domination over them in the Tressel era.
They could never win another game and sink into oblivion and I would be ecstatic.

Can't wait to see Urban come in and lock down Ohio and bring in the best players from all over the country. And I really can't wait until next year in Columbus when we curb stomp Yabba Dabba Doo's team. I hope Urban put's up 60 pts on them.

Bitter much after today? You betcha!!

GO BUCKS!!!

It raises their hopes so the fall after a Buckeye defeat will be that much more painful.

To be honest they should never want to win the game because next year I bet our fan base will be much worse than it has in a number of years. I've never been one to curse or throw stuff at opposing fans but I really can see it being quite crazy next year.
