2012 In-state Players to Watch

http://ohiostate.scout.com/2/1094519.html

Medina (Ohio) QB Mason Schreck committed to Buffalo this week. He's a good sized passer at 6'5, 215-lbs and had a solid run this summer on the Raw Talent Bus Tour along with the NIKE Camp at Ohio State. He is the second quarterback in the class for the Bulls along with Collin Michael, so the future looks good under center. The Bulls also landed big 6'2, 190-lb receiver Malcom Robinson of Canton McKinley for these guys to throw to.

Another Ohio quarterback, Elida's Reggie McAdams chose Akron this week. Watch out for this one. He's raw, but an outstanding athlete at 6'6, 195-lbs. He's also a very good basketball player. He's an intriguing prospect with a lot of upside. He'll need a couple years, but I like his tools.

Westlake (Ohio) linebacker Anthony Zappone verballed to Eastern Michigan this week. He's a kid we've liked for a while now as a sleeper prospect. He has solid size at 6'2, 225-lbs, and is a tough as nails kid, but also impressed us in space this summer when we saw him in just shorts and t-shirts.

Free 24/7 - Herbsteit Classic: Day Two at OSU

Defensive tackle Willie Henry was Glenville's most dominant defensive lineman, coming up with four solos, five assists, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovered. An imposing player at 6-foot-3, 270-pounds, Henry currently holds offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Syracuse, and Overton added that Ohio State is monitoring him this season. Henry plays with a high motor, and has good get off.

Sean Draper has the look of a BCS cornerback. The long 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect had a ridiculous one-armed interception called back on a questionable pass interference call when checking Green. He had three tackles, and is a physical player that forced a fumble. Draper has several MAC offers, and Overton said the Buckeyes are also watching him this fall.

You couldn't miss 6-foot, 185-pound safety prospect Aykee Henderon, who came up with five solos, four assists and a forced fumble. Akron, Bowling Green and Toledo have offered, but the quick and rangy defender could garner BCS interest with several more performances of this caliber.
