They should be 5-1 up until they play their little brother on October 15. After that, it goes into the crapper.

September 3Western Michigan
September 10Notre Dame
September 17Eastern Michigan
September 24San Diego State
October 1Minnesota
October 8@ Northwestern
October 15@ Michigan State
October 29Purdue
November 5@ Iowa
November 12@ Illinois
November 19Nebraska
November 26Ohio State

7-5 or 6-6

I have no idea what Northwestern, Purdue, Iowa or Illinois will be like next year, add in ND and call this the coin flip pile. (2-3 or 3-2)

I'd say Sparty, Nebraska and OSU work up a #6 on them. (3 losses)

I'll die laughing if they lose to the directionals, SDSU or Minnyhaha. (4 wins)

I think the pattern of the past 2 years continues with the scUM faithful contemplating buying NC game tickets in September and wondering if the shower curtain rod can hold their weight for the hanging by November.

5-1 in the best case scenario I'd say...
I fully expect the Skunkbears to be either 5-1 or 6-0 at that point in the season. The only team I see as capable of beating them is Notre Dame.

Which will make the trainwreck of the remainder of the season so much more satisfying.

Not when you factor in that the beatdowns they endured years prior induced a panic which caused them to hire a hill jack that ultimately led them to those records.

The only beat down OSU put on Michigan pre RR since Tressel arrived was 2004 and maybe 2007. I would say 2007 as well even though it was 14-3, OSU controlled that game from the 2nd quarter on. 2002, 2005, and 2006 games weren't decided until the end of the 4th quarter. Michigan had chances to win those games if they got a few lucky breaks.

From 2008-2010.....those games were over before they even started.

Yeah we value our victories over Michigan St. regardless of what their record is in football, basketball, hockey, etc. I'm guessing with your logic the OSU wins over the sucky Michigan basketball team the past decade mean nothing right? How about Michigan football over the last 3 years. I mean OSU was beating down a team that was at the bottom of the Big Ten standings. You may not understand this, but beating Michigan St. in any sport is a big deal to us.

2004 for sure was a fucking beatdown. 34-21, and it wasn't that close. 2007...had the weather not held us back a bit, would've been far worse. 2006...yeah, bullshit. We fucking owned that game. You already got the lucky breaks to even keep it close. I know the score was 42-39, but it never felt like TSUN was a factor.

So I will amend my comment to say "because of years of sustained success and an ass whoopin every couple years, they panicked, and hired a fucking hill jack that led them to those records. There, feel better?

Maybe we should shut up about beating scUM the last three years. Just sayin'...

I don't recall personally gloating about OSU beating UM the past three years; certainly not to the extent that Hart did. I realize UM's program has been in absolute shambles the past few seasons and that beating them has been no more impressive than beating Indiana over that stretch.

Did those OSU wins over UM in the last three years mean nothing? No, they were all wins to put in the win column. So they mean that. But, as I've said before, the OSU football wins over UM from 2008-10 are nothing more to brag about than beating Indiana in football. It's something that OSU fans expected, and OSU delivered. Certainly nothing to brag about (which was my original point--I see you've attempted to change my original point by claiming that I stated the wins "mean nothing").

You may not be gloating personally, but plenty of fans from your side have and to be honest I don't blame them.

You can't really say a fuckin' thing if you wanted to. Not like the majority of your fans don't gloat over the first twenty fuckin' games of the series. At least this time around, you've been playing football for awhile, so all is fair.

I personally gloat over any wins in any sport over our rivals. I really like Michigan football history but don't gloat much at all at the beginning.

I've heard more than a few of yours mention the overall record, which wouldn't be anywhere near what it is without TSUN starting something like 16-0. Not saying you personally, but I haven't met one Michigan fan that hasn't countered our recent success with leather helmet smack.

Well from 1985-2000. OSU only won 3 games in that period. They don't have to look far.

This rivalry hasn't been back and forth since the 70s to the early 80s when both teams were so evenly matched.

And the Buckeyes were fairly dominant in the 50's and 60's before that. It really has been a back and forth swinging pendulum over the decades.
